...”It is a true human tragedy Obama has chosen to deplete our treasury..”

Actually, the Federal Reserve (private company) has depleted our Treasury as a continuation of the policy that Bush Jr agreed too during his last year in the White House.

1.9 Trillion and counting...

Obama is just continuing policy set forth before he sat on the throne.

Katrina only hit New Orleans?!?!....Hey good news Mississippi and Alabama, Katrina didn’t affect you at all.

Oh, didn’t mean that....I KNOW Katrina hit Mississippi and Alabama. But it was New Orleans that God was REALLY trying to teach a lesson. ;)

Who, in your opinion, is not innocent in this natural disaster?

All those folks not practicing Voodoo...

“Think the Christian Missionaries REALLY dropped the ball on this one” - Kinda hard to polish a turd. And since its founding Christianity made this country one of the most successful on earth able to rebuild and learn from our mistakes compared to other sh**holes.

“I recall reading once that I believe the sugar caners destroyed Haiti and left it with worthless land that is barren and cannot sustain much of anything.”

Almost: the sugar caners imported cheap labor, who multiplied and chased the sugar caners out, and who then ruined the land.

I remember that incident, as well.

The UN is the anti-Christ.

I mean that literally.

Evil white people do that. They destroyed Africa that way too.

The earthquake happened almost directly under the capital of Haiti. The western part of the Dominican Republic is only lightly inhabited with a national park covering much of the territory.

The capital of the Dominican Republic is almost 150 miles away.

WTH? “GPF’s updated tables and charts show UN members contributions and debts to the UN regular and peacekeeping budgets. As of October 31, 2009, the total debt of all member states to the UN regular budget was $829 million. The United States owed 93 percent of the total debt - $771 million. In the peacekeeping operations area, UN members owed $2,325 million, with the US owing

The world is full of idiots, it’s sad that some of them crawl out to show themselves when things like this happen.

A colleague from the DR, called his parents last night (US time). They live in Santo Domingo (DR’s capital) and said that while they felt the quake’s shock, no real damage was done. Almost all of the damage occurred in Haiti, on the western end of the island of Hispaniola.

It is a true human tragedy Obama has chosen to deplete our treasury to the extent our ability to respond to true tragedies is crippled. He has broke the bank. And many, many people will die as a result.

I fear you are correct. We have a friend in the Dominican Republic who says, "When America sneezes, the DR catches cold".

On your photo, all three of those structures are destroyed. Can infer what happened inbetween.

The devastation just looks beyond awful. Those people never had much, and now they have even less. Dreadful...

Yeah, the sugar caners did the same to Hawaii, that's why Hawaii is barren and can't sustain much of anything either.

Oh wait........
