I think you're right. This *could* be a brilliant strategic political move on the part of Republicans. Obama will lecture them and be very condescending...he can't help himself. Or, he realizes he needs to start kissing their arses because he is toast. I'll reserve judgment until I see how the repubs handle it. It should be a win. They'd really have to purposely screw this up to not come out with the upper hand here. It's very possible they'll do just that.
