I also suspect that a lot of their concrete is stretched with too much sand and sure as hell doesn’t have any fiberglass adjuncts either.

CNN got it wrong...it’s the largest RECORDED/MEASURED (by instruments) earthquake in the region.

Watching CNN- still doing live coverage. I also watched the CNN coverage. Larry King covered it, but Fox wasn't covering it at that time.

I feel so bad for them. The woman on that video left off with "The world is coming to an end". If that doesn't move people, nothing will.

Supernatural causes are not removed from very real physical effects.
We might be good stewards of the physical realm in which we have authority by studying science and engineering, but this doesn’t remove or destroy the existence of very real supernatural powers.

We've discovered, by much painstaking labor, that quakes are associated with faults, and mostly with plate boundaries. Supernatural explanations for their occurrence are no longer necessary. We also have discovered, by much painstaking labor, that many explosions are associated with explosives and also artillery. Interestingly, they also are associated with persons with very real volition and decisive action.

This is Prisilla:
I've heard the Dominican Republic felt shocks but have heard no reports of damage from there, but there's no way of course to contact her. Prayers are appreciated.

This is just tragic. Those poor people, if there grinding poverty isn't enough :(
I think I heard that this was the largest earthquake ever recorded for that area.

Amen to that!!!! The first person to get word out, that I heard was a Missionary. He said he could hear people crying out for help in collapsed buildings. But, it’s dark there now and they have no help, no fire department, no 911. It’s just tragic. Prayers going up for everyone there.

Port Royal, now there was a bad one. The whole port sank 20 feet under water.
