Got a Springfield Armory XDm 9mm for Christmas. Took it to the NRA range in Virginia a couple of weeks ago and was shooting bullseyes with ease from 25 feet. Just a fantastic firearm. My only complaint is that it comes with a right-handed holster and I shoot left-handed. Oh well.

The holster that comes with a gun is a decent temporary holster until you find one that you really like. I plan to eventually get a good under the shoulder rig that also has a good holder for the spare magazines.

I'm partial to Fobus paddle holsters and have one for every handgun I carry. For your XD, it should be the SP11 series (yes, they make a southpaw version).

Check Springfields site. They will give you a left hand model free if you ask.
