I sold a Model 19 that was an Illinois State Police issue and man am I now sorry that I did. That was one sweet shooting pistol.

***I fell in love...of course the basic CZ design is very heavily influenced by the Browning and I have always liked their goods, too.***

I like the CZ-75. Unfortunatly it is too big for my hands so I will keep my Browning Hi-Power and Colt 1911.

I also like good S&W revolver and the later model Dan Wesson fits my hand perfectly. Another I like is the Ruger Security Six.

I have all I need, but not all I want!

“The Single-Six is a good choice, but the Blackhawk/Super Blackhawk should be on there, too. Seems like everyone I know owns at least one of them.”

IMHO my Ruger Vaquero sits up there with the “ Single Six “

***Colt model 1873 “Peacemaker, .45 colt.***

Nice to look at but the two I owned had the nasty habit of breaking the cylinder stops (aka the “bolt”). Got rid of them!

Bleh.. one thing for sure, if I absolutely positively need to know that my gun will fire it has to be a revolver. I’ll stick with my S&W .357, thanks.

No glock? A single revolver? Utter stupidity.

Agreed. When I saw no glocks and no S&W revolvers, I knew this list was suspect. Where's the S&W Model 19 or Model 29 or Model 586 or 686?

The Cobra, Agent, Detective Special, Police Positive, Viper and Diamondback are similar medium frame handguns.
The larger frame Python was sold through 1996 although a few were sold through the Colt Custom Shop. Colt sold a Python Hunter and Python Silhouette fitted with Leupold scopes. The Silhouette was sold with a black luggage type case. If you see one of these, hock your car and bring it home.

That Colt 1873 probably tops the list on most carried, most rounds passed through.

Your Vaquero is effectively a Blackhawk, at least in my reckoning.

***The favorite hand gun I have is a Tanfoglio .45 ACP Witness. ***

I had one of those in 9mm, a Cz-75 clone. It worked great but was too big for my hand. I later traded it to a friend for a near perfect 1903-a3. He later said the Tanfoglio lost it’s front sight, a common occurance with that brand.

Some of them were dropped and discharged. Surely they didn’t land on the trigger? There are frequent enough reports of unintended discharges from Glocks that lead me to conclude that there is a design flaw. There are an equal number of stupid people who own other brands of pistol, but somehow you never seem to hear about them dropping their Taurus and shooting their self/wife/buddy/kid.

BTW..More than 6,000,000 S&W MP10’s produced to date. That would make it rather popular.

What? No mention of that great Austrian design from about 1988, the ROJAK! 19 shots! Shoot a round, clear a jam. shoot a round clear a jam! ;-D

I think you would be better off taking a knife to a gun fight than that piece of dreck.

A source other than your personal opinion would be helpful and what is "miserable" about the trigger?

The H&K USP compact is a fine pistol with a highly rated reputation.
Here are some unbiased viewpoints. :-) I also know a few LEOs who like em.

Latest edition to my family. I figure liberals hate this gun with a passion and since 99% of crooks/home invaders are liberals that I should just have to point it and they'll recoil in horror. Sort of like a cross to a vampire.
