Full-body scanners raising privacy issues

WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Machines to screen airline passengers can store and transmit images, making them open to possible abuse, a U.S. group critical of full-body scanning says.

The federal Transportation Security Administration currently has about 40 body-scanning machines in operation at 19 U.S airports and wants to add 150 more this year and 300 in 2011, CNN reports. TSA says the scanners are not networked and that each machine works independently without the ability to store or send graphic images of human anatomy.

What go*****ed BS. The government wants us to believe that without these privacy-invading full body scanners, there will be more Abdul Mutallab undie bombers.

What a go*****ed sack of BS. Ha ha ha ha ha!

The TSA'a scanning machines are capable of saving X-ray images of people's naked bodies in their massive yottabyte-sized hard drives, and have Wi-Fi networking connectivity to a large centralized database and covertly, to the smartphones of pedophilic and lustful TSA employees, who can download those images onto their smartphones and masturbate over them when they have the time.

The TSA Web site says the scanning machines "have zero storage capability" and "the system has no way to save, transmit or print the image."

Again, more BS.

The scanning machines can have save, transmit and even image print capability. A lust-consumed TSA employee could covertly network his smartphone through wireless Bluetooth and save image after image.

I's one 'high-tech' way to acquire pornography the unorthodox way.

The human anatomy, especially the female anatomy, is one attractive idol to masturbate over. /sarcasm

Smartphones and Bluetooth would be the 'tool' to acquire X-ray images from the body scanning machine.

Body scanners in action.

I’m sort of speculating if Janet Napolitano will personally review female images herself.

Regardless, the prospects for abuse involving these machines will be great.

Seriously, the pervs at TSA will be active, there can be no doubt.

I've watched with horror over the past decade the way that the American Administration is using the groundroots of true Patriotism as a tool against American Citizens.

I don't wish to speak about it due to the unavoidable condescending nature of such comments, but suffice to say that, Americans should not let ONE SINGLE Liberty be taken from this point, no matter what the outright lie as cause they pledge you for your own security.

The only true threat to your Liberty is from your Federal Government, and that's red or blue, because they are all the same.
If people accept to be stripped naked at the request of another Man, they deserve the next level of tyranny IMO, and that goes for any Country.

100% true there.

No wonder liberty has been quickly deprived from us at airports by means of privacy-invading body scanner machines.

Fascist Police State 101. Adolf Hitler could not be any more proud.

You have a very power and perverted imagination. Right? If not then provide some proof of the hard drives, Wi-Fi, download capabilities of the L3 body scanners being used by TSA.

The image observer of the L3 body scanners is not in the same room as the person being scanned. The observer has no visibility, direct or indirect, of the unscanned individuals.

Look at the scan image in post #1 above, then ask yourself the same question.

While I understand and respect those of us who have to travel for professional reasons, I cannot understand why anyone would voluntarily subject themselves to the TSA, DHS or other imbeciles in charge.

It's almost like signing up for a root canal to go on a flight these days.

I believe he may be correct. I noticed the article from CNN at this link hit the net a few hours ago (or the tiny portion of it that I bodyboard). The article teases out the original specifications for the devices, dated 2008, REQUIRED them to store/transmit. Yet the TSA claims they do not?

It’s CNN, not the usual conspiracy theorist types.

I guess there's no possible way for Larry, the TSA agent who is standing near the line of people who are waiting to be scanned, to text message the word "HOT" to his TSA agent buddy Carl, the image observer of the L3 body scanner, whenever a pretty and shapely young lady is going to be scanned next, right?

Your opinion and article is bang on, and any Man still defending this fascist bullshit in the name of personal security is either oblivious or downright scared to what is ACTUALLY going on in the World.

I think that the scanner observer could determine who was hot or not from the scanned image.

Don’t fly. I too will fly only in emergencies and then only over 2,000mi. Train or drive. I’ll not put up with the hassle.
