Massachusetts voters have to ask themselves a serious question before they head to the polls next week: Are they content with the current state of affairs in Washington?
Are they content with a sweeping health care bill, now being negotiated behind closed doors by principals from only one political party? (So much for a new era of bipartisanship promised by our president.)

Ed Brooke was elected to the Senate in MA even though he was a R, but it was because he was a clean, well spoken negro...
It surely wasn't because of his choice of newscasters to commit adultery with...

Massachusetts was generally Republican until after WWII. Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. was the last of the old line GOP.

I wish I understood why web masters at newspapers split up columns into multiple pages. This one has only three lines on the second page. Are they trying to artificially inflate hit counts, or just trying to annoy?

I think massachusetts is going for brown because of that incident at harvard last summer where the black professor was all over the towny police officer.
that black police officer was utterly over the top insufferably arrogant.
everyone could see that.
and he got a trip to the white house?
everyone in massachusetts outside of Cambridge is going to want to tear a new one in the dems.

the over-the-top guy wasn’t a police officer, he’s a professor at Harvard, who ranted at the police who obviously don’t know their place.

Is the Herald a lib rag?

Yes, and the Pope is still Catholic.
California as a state is liberal, but they voted in Republican Governor Arnold.
It makes liberals feel all grown up to endorse a Republican when they like his style of voting: MODERATE.
Then they can claim they are bipartisan.
I almost hate myself for rooting for this “compassionate” conservative.
