It’s simple to understand. In the Obamanation, punch a scumbag terrorist during his arrest and get a kangaroo court in a foreign land far from reporters’ meddling. Kill Americans in a sneak attack and you get free legal counsel, a show trial in NYC, and all the state-run media sycophants you could possibly want.

In better times, Obama and his posse would have been called “traitors”, but today we just call them “democrats”.

“I am not understanding this at all....’

Probably because of witness availability.

Are they trying to keep the spotlight off the Navy screw up of attempting to reprimand these SEALs for doing their job by moving it to Iraq? Surreal that the government is pursuing this at all considering the headlines of late and knowing that the terrorist making the claims against the SEALs slaughtered those American contractors and was running loose until our SEALS caught the animal.

Here is another article on it:

http://www.nctimes.com/news/national/article_a0293cf3-2660-5394-ad6b-068c314704cf.html

Check this out.

(snip)The SEALs have received an outpouring of support from people who consider them heroes for capturing Abed. Several members of Congress have asked that the charges be dropped, and more than 100,000 people have joined a Facebook page created to support the SEALs...”

(snip)”We were going to have to travel there to do the deposition anyway, but the government said the witness wasn't going to be available for trial,” Lombardi told The Associated Press...”

I am hoping against hope that we have a military coup somewhere in the near future. When are we going to get rid of the political creeps and their hacks in the courts & make this a nation of honorable people again?

The SEALs' accuser is a terrorist undergoing trial in Iraq.

(1) The SEALs want to cross-examine the detainee who is their accuser, as is their right.

(2) The prosecution does not want to bring the detainee onto US soil, because that would jeopardize their action against him, since the instant he's on US soil, he could claim the protection of US law.

(3) By holding the court-martial in Iraq, the SEALs are still going to be tried under US military law, but will now get a chance to impeach the terrorist's testimony.
