This year, the United States Census Bureau is taking heat for question 9 on the new census form which reads: "What is Person 1's race?" -- the second option reads: "Black, African-Am., or Negro." Census officials defend their decision for the category, saying that a number of individuals wrote in "Negro" in the 2000 census. Actually, the 2000 Census included the same race options as the 2010 census form. However, what is striking in the 2010 census form is the lack of citizenship or birthplace question.

Illegal alien blacks from Spanish speaking countries. In the Spanish black is negro. White is Blanco. They want to count illegal blacks who speak Spanish. Ther are a lot of them.
Sooo, let’s see - my friends who were born in Ghana (West Africa), are here legally thanks to the immigration lottery - what do they put down? The seem to turn into Americans pretty quickly - is there a selection for “Naturalized American”?
“2010 census lacks citizenship question”
Knew THAT was coming!!!
...of course there’s no citizenship question...this is all about enumerating illegals in urban areas...urban America is a powerbase of the Left....after the census, they will re-district and give more legislative power to inner cities because they will have the head count.
I work in a secured airport area. Tuesday we have to bring in all our ID’s. Stamped birth certificates, drivers liscence, passports, green cards, SS cards and passports.
Well, for one, the point that the Dems are sucking up to the Hispanics for the 2010 election is certainly valid, but for another, this proves out what I’ve long been thinking; these elections are pointless because for all practical intents and purposes, we’re just electing an interim gov’t that will be replaced by a North American Union Gov’t with a Mexican or Canadian President. Oddly enough, the lack of the citizenship question appears to me to be a Freudian Gov’t slip indicating they know they’re just an interim gov’t as well, thus rendering the issue moot in their own minds.
What do the genealogy people think of a census that doesn’t ask for birthplace? Isn’t that important to them?
Illegal aliens have always been counted in the Census for redistricting purposes; the Constitution requires it.
Section 2 of the 14th Amendment states: "Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State..."
Seems no one asked the boy who would be President that
question, either.
The Kenyan could not get a job where you work!
This is because of the Fruit of the Kaboom 12/25 attack.
Well this doesn’t surprise me. The “citizenship” question has been removed from the Presidential job-application form, too! (Or at least, nobody’s actually checked his papers.)
Right on, Churchillspirit. For the most complete coverage, on the Obummer’s illegitimacy to be President, with ALL the info garnered to date in one package, check out the updated Obamafile. Mind blowing. How does Obummer get away with it?
I’m more concerned about the intrusive questions that have decidely political overtones... what size house do you own... how many rooms... do you have health insurance.
My form will be turned in with information regarding the number, age and race of the residents in my home and NOTHING else. That is if I decide to send it in at all
Did you notice that the information provided says that you are required by law to respond?!?!
I received my form and it does ask for birthplace.
Hell the Kenyan couldn’t play little league or join 4H here.
Birthplace has been most helpful to me in reviewing census records for family tree.
The administration wants to count every illegal intruder:
Each and every body counted means almost $1000 to each Congressional District in the USA.
The Democrats want to count each illegal intruder so they can pad their districts with more Federal Funds.
Maxine Waters will come out with lots of extra money!!!!
Same thing with Waxman..
WTF. Dammit hasn’t anybody ever LOOKED at the fricking thing? The short form is name, age, sex, race, relationship, how many people live in the home, and is the home owned or rented. This is pretty much the minimal information that they have always asked. No big suprise.
On the long form they ask all of the below including where you were born and what your citizenship is. Everything anybody could want to know - too much in fact. This article is just propagating bad information about the census and makes us look like idiots when some lefty produces it. I think there is a previous thread on FREEP that covers exactly this same information.
