Well this news made Mitt’s day. I believe there is a big difference between appearing on FOX and being a contributor. Newt is out, Huck is out now Palin is out.

I really wanted her to run, but to win she would have to follow one rule she has broken too many times. That is: “What would Ms. Thacher do?”

I love her, (she pisses off all the right people) but I think this toasts her chances for the oval office. I wish her all the happiness and love in the world.

Vote for Scott Brown! http://www.redinvadesblue.com/Moneybomb/Donate.html

now Palin is out.

You're out of your mind! This is exactly the right move she need to make to rachet up her public profile even more. Heck, this deal is precisely what many have been clamoring for on FR, and now I'm seeing negative posts like this?

Damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't I guess.

Out?

Normally a potential political candidate would have to pay good money to get national (world) network exposure before jumping in the ring. Here she gets all that, and gets paid for it. And I'm sure she has an out clause.

It would be cool to see her do a series of contributions on the Constiution on how it applied then and how it applies to us today.

Take for instance the 1st Amendment and the freedom of religion. Have some video of her in church and synagogue services but nothing at a mosque. She would explain that she didn’t go to the mosque because women aren’t allowed. She’d really piss off the jihadis! She could even show up at a old order Amish church service and explain to the American public that they don’t take welfare of any kind such as SS, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. That’ll really tick off the Leftists!

Then a segment on the 2nd Amendment. Show her at civilian and military firearms ranges firing pistols, shotguns, and those evil assault rifle-like semi-auto rifles. Then throw in some full auto at the military ranges. She could advocate full auto civilian ownership like the Swiss have and no-permit-necessary concealed carry in states like Alaska and Vermont (and possibly Iowa in the near future?). She could teach about how firearms ownership keeps the thugs in check and how you can refuse to be a victim by owning an equalizer. You’d see women buying firearms like there is no tomorrow!

How about cultural profiling at the airports? She could do a segment on how successful the Israelis are at stopping terrorism since 1969.

Anyone have any other ideas on the kinds of segments she could do on FOX?

Well this news made Mitt’s day.

Do you full blown Libertarians really think you will get a better fit with a Mormon, than an Evangelical Christian?

Goldwater was too Socially Un conservative to be elected, as it turned out.

What would Ms. Thacher do?

I don't believe the Iron Lady was popularly elected. The PM is the leader of the majority party.

FilmCutter,

Point blank: candidate or not, Palin is the most powerful GOP player and she will use her platform to generate support for Republicans *OTHER THAN* Romney and render those like him irrelevant as she uses her voice to guide the direction of the GOP's future. There goes whatever chances Romney has. He cannot win without her support and endorsement. PERIOD.

Not only are McCain *and* Romney people known to be behind trying to destroy her reputation during and after the election by spreading false stories, but Romney has the WORST possible chances of winning both the nomination or election. People want the free market back, we want small businesses to have their say again. We are not "corporatists." We are quite fed up with the corporate CEO types on Wall Street who contributed to the current jeopardization of the financial markets right now. It is this breed of people Romney represents regardless of however more ethical he was as a businessman or not.

As governor, Romney instituted Romneycare and that won't sit well with the American people. Romney is a lifelong Mormon yet he underwent MAJOR flip flops in expressing the kind of deep-seated convictions people look for in a candidate with regard to moral issues such as abortion. This turns both prolife AND prochoice people off. Not only did he undergo a "view" change, but he and his wife were both adamant supporters of Planned Parenthood, bolstering up prochoice candidates, and openly criticizing the power of the socially conservative wing of the Republican Party.

Romney does not have an affable personality or the charisma necessary to communicate core ideals to an American people desperate for direction and their sense of conviction back again in freedom.

Romney cannot connect with the American public. He will not generate the type of grassroots support candidates like Obama was able to.

He won't win. and it's his own fault. Palin once had a favorable opinion of him during the primaries years back, because he spoke about tapping into Alaska's resources. I can assure you, whatever little support of him she may have had is all gone.

Thatcher was great, in her own English way. She really liked that actor/radio commentator turned Governor who was American through and through. Palin could be as great as Thatcher, but in her own American style. No one can say Palin is stodgy!
