Any group can be seen as “terrorists”.

As soon as these people have enough power, they will begin killing us.

Imagine being profiled as a pro-lifer (pat down anyone wearing Christian jewelry and carrying Bibles?

Why is it everytime Congress seriously looks at these obama nominees, they find idiots, zealots, radicals and nutjobs? Why does it seem like “erroll” was an affirmative action FBI hire and everyone was too PC to deal with him (Shades of Major Hasan)?

Totally predictable also that 0 would appoint only lefties and divisive partisan types to key positions. We all knew it would happen but no one else would believe it. So much for McCain’s “no need to be afraid” comment. I knew he was wrong. So of course the whole campaign about ending our divisions, healing the country, etc was all a bunch of bull. I’m not at all surprised.

Good thing we rely on the government to protect us. Sheep get slaughtered. You get what you deserve.

Nothing says “protection” like a super-loser-bureaucracy made up of smaller loser bureaucracies.

I’ll probably be flamed as “hating America first”, but maybe the Department of Homeland Security should not exist?

If America starts profiling pro-lifers and targeting them for harassment, can I then criticize the government and express dissatisfaction with America? Or do I have to wait till pro-lifers are put into prison? Or do I have to wait till they’re executed?

Just wondering when the knee-jerk blind “patriots” won’t flame me for criticizing America.

The more government employees, the better.

The March for Life is coming up in DC in a couple of months. This should be interesting.

It is.

I doubt that Obama's thugs will overpower the American people.

It would be an ugly fight, but there is no way that a thug manning a gun for Obama can overpower American men and women defending their homes and children.

Think of "Defiance" and "Red Dawn."

Obama's SS troops would be met with the same warmth as was experienced by Napoleon's troops when they invaded Spain.

As I understand it, Homeland Security was just a do-nothing meeting-attendee's answer to failures of CIA, FBI, DIA, NSA and God knows what other intelligence agencies/initiatives to share information. Eight years later, they still don't share information but we have a new bureaucracy (along with TSA) to help break the back of the American taxpayer. What a disaster!

So no, DHS should not exist. Unfortunately, that makes them like (almost) every other federal agency.

Personally, I'd like to see us just hand out pink slips at random to 50% of federal government employees. We'd lose some good people in departments that actually matter but it would be a great step toward getting our federal government back in line with its constitutional mandates.

I remember when the federal government was shut down over a budgetary pissing contest between the executive and legislative branches back in the 90's. My roommate, a DoD employee was considered essential personnel and worked through the shutdown along with all other essential personnel. To me that shutdown had no impact on my life at all: nothing, nada, zip, zilch. If half the government disappeared tomorrow we'd all still be talking about staggering waste and incompetence.

So I say, enthusiastically, give DHS the axe regardless of their structure and leadership.
