John McCains top campaign strategist said in an interview Sunday that Sarah Palin was dishonest as the GOPs vice-presidential nominee and that her untruths have done long-term damage to her public image.
There were numerous instances that she said things that were that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with, said Steve Schmidt in an interview broadcast on CBSs 60 Minutes. And that opened the door to criticism that she was being untruthful and inaccurate. And I think that is something that continues to this day.
I like Sarah just fine and will vote for her again, but I also believe that Sherman should have hanged each and every slave owner.
Oh no, I just found out Boehner’s COS died:
If anyone has anything else on her, please FRmail me.
someone is pulling this guys strings, he’s like one of those wooden dancing men on a stick. His tampon slipped.
Right. He’s a packaged product and we’ve never been allowed to see inside the package.
Who cares what some establishment GOPer has to say?

You couldn’t be more correct if you had to.
He wouldn’t sell book one were it not for slamming Sarah.
60 Minutes used the entire segment to slam her.
Any Republican who hires him is beyond stupid and his campaign is doomed and we will let the candidate know we do not approve of Schmidt.
Wait. What the hell? That doesn’t even make sense. Not even under normal conditions. Certainly not under the blast furnace she was in last year. Were they even listening to what he said? Was he even listening to what he said?
Somebody’s a lying idiot here. I submit to you that it is not Sarah Palin.
Not yet.
I have read in the past about Schmidt’s background.
One of his major hates on Palin, religion.
He is not big on politics and religion.
I think he is only big on himself.
I am convinced that Schmidt and others in the McCain campaign were firmly in the bag for Obama, either that or they are the most incompetent political “handlers” the world has ever seen. So there's the choice, were they stupid incompetents or Democrat operatives...inquiring minds want to know.
I’m just counting down the days until it’s announced that Schmidt is joining MediaMatters or some other Soros front.
I see no evidence that Pawlenty has anything to do with Steve Schmidt. Pawlenty has picked some McCain advisers, yes, but they include Randy Scheunemann, who I read is a vigorous Palin defender.
I can find no story that ties Schmidt to Pawlenty (or anybody else).
What a first class Cylmer Schmidt is.
Thanks for this thread.
Now I don’t have to watch 60 minutes tonight.
Not that I do anyway.
If my memory serves me OK, he worked for aRnie in his 2006 re-election campaign.
We all know what aRnie has done to advance the cause of Conservatism.
"John, you say this tomorrow, or I'll announce my for support for Hayworth on Tuesday."
How's that for a script?
Has there been an announcement of Scheunemann officially joining Pawlenty?
In fact, I think they wrote off McCain's chances a month before the election, and concentrated on trying to make sure that she wouldn't be a future, national force in the GOP. Looks like she's winning the battle against these jerks.
They gave up after September 16 and McCain lame reaction to it. That includes McCain. as we could tell by his poor performance in the debates. No fire at all. None, nada, nichts!
onyx, I haven’t found any evidence that Schmidt is affiliated with anyone and certainly not Pawlenty. There was a story that Pawlenty picked up some McCain advisers, neither of which is Schmidt or Wallace and one of which was close enough to Palin that Allahpundit thinks he would more naturally be on Palin’s campaign if Palin were running for sure.
Schmidt is burning too many bridges. Even if you agree with his politics, you don’t want anybody like that anywhere near your campaign, because you never know if he’ll stab you in the back, too.
Dick Morris only started bashing the Clintons after he stopped advising candidates.

Hmm.
Republican establishment. A swamp of poisonous snakes. Schmidt is a Rino’s Rino judging by the rino hacks he has serviced during his career.
