The only way this would be news is if the crash knocked all of Lindsay's clothes off and she was photographed. Wait, I guess that wouldn't be news, either. However, there is no justification for this thread unless the rules are followed:

HOLLYWOOD -- A paparazzo was hit and injured by a BMW carrying starlet Lindsay Lohan in an incident described by police as an "assault with a deadly weapon."
The accident happened behind the Hotel Cafe in the 1600 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses said paparazzi surrounded the black BMW 650 as Lohan and her assistant got inside in the narrow alley behind the club.
The unidentified driver then allegedly stepped on the gas before the paparazzi could move aside, hitting one man and injuring his wrist and leg.

This young woman is her own train-wreck. She hasn’t had a hit movie in almost decade. Without some intervention Ms Lohan is either going to kill someone as she almost did here or end up killing herself. Sad to see.
The only thing I know about Linsday Lohan is that I’ve seen her name on FR before. What this girl ever did, starred in or slept with....I have no idea who she is.
Someone in the last 10 minutes who most likely uttered either “Like,” “You know what I mean,” “Oh My God” or “Whatever.”

This is kinda like when a whaler hits a blocking superboat. I might not care about Lohan, but the only thing I can regret about the pop culture vulture being struck is that some nice gear might have been destroyed.
Hardly matters to the case, since she wasn't the driver of the car. But my guess is "both". :)
I consider paparazzi one level lower than cluster flies. Lower, because while paparazzi serve no purpose, flies at least serve the biological function of dealing with decaying, putrescent corpses. There's probably an analogy in there somewhere, but I'm not going to dig too deep at the moment...

If Lindsay Lohan is the passenger, why is she being blamed for this? Is a paid passenger responsible for what her driver does, if this was a hired driver?

I live close to that place. The entire corridor of Cahuenga is a pap’s wet dream. Too MANY Clubs close to each other plus..the valets are on TMZ’s payroll, whether they speak English or not.
I missed the part about her not driving, at least she has some sense.
I agree about the paparazzi, celebrities love to have their pictures taken, these vultures are just over the top.
She's not necessarily being blamed personally, but without her name, there's no story, and worse, no headline...

Who’s going to intervene? Her family is as crazy as she is... she doesn’t have parent’s like Britney Spears to step in and put their foot down.
