That poor woman is leading a life devoid of anything worthwhile, while her husband's off playing Captains of Industry. The (obvious) fling with the young man isn't really helping matters, to the contrary it's just getting him all mixed up in it too.
It's gonna work out tragically for her in the end.
Oh, the tragedy and the angst... give it an oscar.

But in real life (not Hollywood) Dustin is about 30 years old and Anne is about 36 years old in that picture.
This Irish story is much more interesting....:^)
It was a good movie though.
