Let’s get this story viral!!!
Today, a spokesman for Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin, who is overseeing the election but did not respond to a call seeking comment, said certification of the Jan. 19 election by the Governors Council would take a while.
Because its a federal election, spokesman Brian McNiff said. Wed have to wait 10 days for absentee and military ballots to come in.
Another source told the Herald that Galvins office has said the election wont be certified until Feb. 20 - well after the presidents address.
Since the U.S. Senate doesnt meet again in formal session until Jan. 20, Bay State voters will have made their decision before a vote on health-care reform could be held. But Kirk and Galvins office said today a victorious Brown would be left in limbo.
In contrast, Rep. Niki Tsongas (D-Lowell) was sworn in at the U.S. House of Representatives on Oct. 18, 2007, just two days after winning a special election to replace Martin Meehan. In that case, Tsongas made it to Capitol Hill in time to override a presidential veto of the expansion of the State Childrens Health Insurance Program.
NOW THE MILITARY MEMBER’S VOTES MATTER IN MA?!?!
Hey. Don’t get worked up over it. We got people on FR who want Coakley to win because the Republican candidate isn’t the second coming of Ronald Reagan.
Go figure. I am sure the dummies will be in this thread soon.
Let them hold it up in court forever.
“handpicked by Gov. Deval Patrick after a CROOKED change to hold Kennedys seat”
I’m sure this story will be in tomorrow’s Glob, too, right?
Wow, these people really want to piss the public off.
The more dirty tricks they pull the deeper they bury themselves.

1. This could be Boston Herald's way of saying to voters, "If you are voting for Brown because you don't want health care, don't bother."
2. The internal polling on Scott Brown must be terrifying to the Dems.
Hard to believe this is the same state where the war for independence began....
Massachusetts Secretary of State Bill Galvin is up for relection in 2010. Send him your thoughts on this.
The RATS have gone NUTS!!!

Repubs in the state capitols and in the House and Senate need to VACATE their offices. Let the country SEE that the Democrats have been establishing one-party rule.
The country has to SEE it to believe it. Press conferences, press releases, etc., will NOT inform the public.
The Repubs will not have the vision or courage to do it, of course. Ten years from now, everybody can look back and say: Why didn’t the Repubs just walk out and create an uproar, when the Democrats could have been stopped.
Sort of like how people talk about the failure of the French to act when Hitler marched into the Rhineland.
When Obama delivers his STFU speech, the Republican side of the chamber should be EMPTY!!!
Can this be turned into front-page news across Massachusetts?
Spread the word to everyone.
Naturally, this helps Brown’s campaign.
Speaking of Corrupticrats, what is the status of the Lautenberg switch in NJ before Christie takes office?
Washington -- Fresh from his election victory Tuesday, Bill Owens traveled to Washington, D.C., today where he was sworn into office shortly after 1 p.m. and embarked on a busy schedule.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi staged a ceremonial swearing in of Owens at 1:07 p.m. She then hosted a cocktail reception for him. He was accompanied by his wife, Jane, three children and three grandchildren. He was given a standing ovation on the House floor after he recited the oath.
Owens said he will vote for the health care bill likely to come to the House floor tomorrow.
Here’s more about the odious health care takeover. They’ll stop at nothing to go after our medine cabinets.
I bet they don’t have all 60 votes assured in time for 0’s speech. That’s why I won’t let this post disuade me from getting out to vote.
