How drunk do you have to be to want to lock yourself in an airplane bathroom?

They should have pressed “FLUSH” from the cockpit.

Okay, now if this guy is shown to be a young
islamic or convert, I’m starting to get nervous
that these are diversions to keep us off guard
for their coup de gras:

a bomb parachuted into the Super Bowl, suicide
or diaper bomber in a huge mall or theater, truck
bomb into a govt building, etc.

Dear Lord, protect and save us.

The man was thought to be intoxicated and locked himself in the bathroom

This "morning after" is going to be a little tougher than before...

How close is Tyndall to this flight? There’s nothing that can scramble a jet there that’s closer?

My first thought was damn Al q must be laighing themselves silly at our over reaction
THEN it dawned on me, we the people are staying vigilant and through that vigilance are stopping crazed muslims from killing us plus getting crazed idiots arrested for behavior that previously would have gone unchecked.

I see this as a win win

However I would like to see who this drunk was before we decide it wasn’t terror related.
I do not believe that Nigerian who was supposedly only sick was not another test.

Breathalyzers before flying and no more in-flight drinks.

(Colorado Springs, CO) — An apparent drunk passenger on an Atlanta-to-San Francisco flight was arrested today after he locked himself in the airplane’s bathroom.

The incident happened on AirTrans Flight 39, forcing the pilot to divert to Colorado Springs.

Airport officials there say the man was then taken off the plane by police and detained.

The unruly passenger has not been identified.

The flight is expected to depart en route to San Francisco as soon as the investigation is wrapped up.

I’m watching Cavuto also.

First two questions:

WHY was the passenger allowed to board the aircraft DRUNK?

If passenger was sober when he boarded, why was he served the quantity of beverages that allowed him to become DRUNK?

Clearly, the new “standing orders” are to NOT allow a jetliner to be crashed over a populated area.

That’s all a fighter jet can do: control the crash location.

The administration knows they have to get tough, but owing to PC orthodoxy, they must demonstrate that the new toughness is not ethnicity-dependent. For this reason, I get the feeling this guy is just some 4H’er having a reallllly bad day.

Just watch —it’s a surfer, mormon, or Future Farmers of America type.

Airtran Flt 39.

That’s the same flight number of the unruly passenger incident Wed., a Hawaiian Airlines flight out of Portland to Maui. Fighter jets were scrambled for that one too.

...is it just US flights that receive fighter escorts when something like this happens? The reason I ask is....we've been told the US knew of the Fruit of Kaboom bomber before it landed, but I don't remember it getting escorted. So either it's just US flights or *tsk tsk* were being lied to again.

The crew radioed the situation, and the fighters were launched.

What an exercise in futility. What are they going to do...shoot the damn thing down or FORCE it to land. As both an ex AF fighter jock and as a retired airline captain having a fighter on your wing adds nothing to safety and enhances the possibility of tragedy.

A Pittsburgh- Paris flight landed in New Foundland last night because of a drunk.

I predict this will lead to a declaration of no booze on airplanes which will require me to switch to heroin or massive quantities of Xanax.
