Force Congress & Senate to telecommute most of the year. Under the thumb of the electorate in their home district, away from the lobbyists.

Congress is required to meet at least 1 time per year, with no specified length of session. It is simply not necessary for them to be constantly in session.

The Texas Legislature meet every other year, and it seems to work OK. Why not something similar for Congress.

Can you imagine the savings in operating expense and the savings due to fraud prevention (exposure).

Exactly, back to being a citizen legislature and all law applies to everyone even them. No more ‘Cadillac’ perks etc etc.

The Federal government must be dismantled. Bust it up. Make it a small administrative agency overseen by a “Congress” of the 50 or so (territories) elected state governors. The SCt. to rule on constitutional rights as set forth in the Bill of rights and all power returned to the PEOPLE through elected STATE government. No Federal income tax. Just a surcharge on each state budget according to the number of people living in the state. More folk... more taxes to pay for the federal military and administrative agency. ALL executive and legislative power vested at the state level. The “President” acts as COO, not CEO and does what she/he is told by the Con gress of governors. Military for defense, not aggression. Foreign policy? Think Swiss. Let the world go to hell. Protect OUR interests with strong military (CIC rotates between governors).... Just call me. I'll set the whole thing up at NO CHARGE! Oh, and don't worry, lobbyists! Plenty of $$$ and sex in 50 state capitals!!! Wooooo Hoooooo!
