People vote for candidates for all kinds of reasons. I don’t think the majority of people voted for Obama because he was African American. They voted for him because he wasn’t a Republican, because he wasn’t John McCain, and he didn’t have a long track record of disasters behind him (though he’s creating many right now).

If you think most people voted for B.O. because he was black, that’s certainly your opinion. I do not share it.

I think it was memorizing to a lot of people. How else can you explain the ignoring of his past, his voting record (or lack thereof), his inexperience, his radical associations?

Why does it have to be a BLACK conservative? How about the best person for the job? Really, haven't we already been called racist anyway? It's not like we'd be losing the black vote, 0bama has that already tied up. What's with all this affirmative action stuff? If he's not up to the task(and he's not), then he needs to go and his replacement should be whomever can do the best job of energizing and uniting the party and bringing in cash.
