Dennis Miller Comes Out for Tea Party
Dennis Miller Radio Show | 1-7-10 | Colocdn (Vanity)

Posted on 01/07/2010 8:45:58 AM PST by ColoCdn

Just heard on the first half hour of his daily show that Dennis Miller is for the Tea Party. He laid out why he doesn't care a whit about the Republican party anymore, and that he likes the 'everyman' feel of the Tea Party. Before the break he said "I guess I'm for the Tea Party."

The snowball continues to gain size, speed, and momentum. Me and Mrs. Colocdn are Conservative first, Republican only where they match conservative values.

Normally don't post vanities - thought this one was interesting, though.

Dennis is correct and I`ve been saying likewise when the topic comes up.

The time to strike is now while the iron is hot.

The tea party could congeal into a national political party and wipe out the ‘me too’ big government GOP/RINOs.

The GOP/RINOs will NEVER repeal govt. Deathcare once it pssses, and it will. In fact, they`ll most likely build on it and continue to spit on the Constitution.

A Tea party that becomes national now, has its planks rooted in the Constitution could easily destroy the GOP/RINOs and send leftists like McCain, Goober Graham, Snowe, etc,etc either out of business or expose them as who they are as they then join the Democrat/Totalitarian party.

I love Dennis, but I would prefer the Tea Party Patriots, of which I am one, simply bend the will of the the pubbies, of which I am not, rather than starting up a movement to split the conservative vote.

WIND revised their weekday lineup:
Cisco Cotto left WIND to move to afternoons on WLS. Big John has the 5-9 am shift solo (for now).
Glenn Beck is now on in Chicago on WIND from 9-11am
Dennis Miller is now on from 11am-2pm

Hope this helps.

This is an excellent idea! If you want to give Obama a second term and larger Dem majorities in Congress.

The inevitable outcome of this is a splitting of the conservative vote and election of more Democrats.

See the 1912 election (Bullmoose party) and 1992 election (Reform party). The only two serious third parties in modern history. Both resulted in a Democrat winning the presidency with only about 40% of the popular vote (meaning about 60% of people voted agains the Democrat, and the Democrat still won).

Conservative third parties elect Democrats. The result this time would be no different.

Those that ignore history are doomed to repeate it.

” If you want to give Obama a second term and larger Dem majorities in Congress.”

Then vote for the GOP/RINOs and watch big government become even bigger. You actually believe the elitist left-wing GOP is gonna let guys like you run the show!?

Another Democrat/Totalitarian win would only be temporary.

The first step would be to destroy the left-wing GOP,annihilate the faux conservative party. If that allowed a one cycle win for the Totalitarians so be it. The second step would be to consolidate the victory over the left-wing GOP then move forward to destroy the anti-Constitutional Totalitarian Democrat party and then begin to dismantle ALL un-Constitutional federal departments and programs.

Like voting for GOP/RINOs and expecting government to shrink, spending to decrease and strict adherence to Original intent !?

Ur kidding, right?

Tea Party won’t work. Remember the Reform Party in the 90’s. What a waste of time. Miller is more a libertarian and was never a Republican. What is the point if your vote for a third party assures a Democrat victory.

Both parties have played their respective constituents for suckers, saying one thing while doing quite another.

I have not sent to the RNC in 7 years and won’t anytime soon.

Michael Steele is an intellectual pantywaist with absolutely no testosterone, as evidenced by his rather soft speaking tone and bald head.

What the government doesn’t loot of my loot, only goes directly to candidates I support.

I'd rather vote for a conservative Republican.

You actually believe the elitist left-wing GOP is gonna let guys like you run the show!?

You actually believe getting more Democrats elected is going to make things better?

If that allowed a one cycle win for the Totalitarians so be it.

Great idea! As soon as we defeat FDR, we'll be able to reverse all the damage he did. Great idea. What could go wrong. LOL!

The only way the tea party idea succeeds is to reform the GOP from within. It can’t happen on a national scale from the outside, nor working on the national party from the top down. It has to be state by state, district by district and candidate by candidate. It takes local activism to change the party, and eventually we have to hope the RNC gets reformed from the ground up.

In each state and region, we have to get good candidates in as party chairs, work on selecting and recruiting good conservative talent, and financially supporting those individuals. We have to work to bring the actions of local Dems to light and change perception and get good people in office and in party positions. If each person in the tea party were to organize locally and work on their congress elections, county parties and US Senate and statewide elections, we’ll see results for the decade or two to come with better party leadership, and better candidates and create a strong bench for future leadership.

Here in FL, we have the ousting of a RINO state chair and the rise of Rubio. The future looks brighter here than it has in a few years. I think we’ll see more of that in other states as we move through the year.

The lesser of the two evils vote gave us GW’s second term and TARP and all the other CRAP we CARP about.

Seriously, the two candidates we got served in the last election where the best we could do out of 300 million Americans?

Neither is a Natural Born American and one may not even be a citizen.

Both refuse to promote American Exceptionalism and we need a pitchman with a vision of our individual Excellence and collective spirit of Can Do.
