Obama Hate-Crime Kangaroo Court Conviction

Posted on 01/06/2010 7:10:28 PM PST by Washingtonfreethinker

You may be interested in this bizarre and frightening Obama-Police State story.

A friend of mine was arrested the night before the huge 9/12 march in Washington. Her crime? Taking down a cheap Obama poster in a crummy little restaurant in Washington, DC. She was charged with FELONY destruction of property, cuffed, and thrown in jail.

On Monday, Jan 4 - in a kangaroo court in Washington - my friend was pronounced guilty by Judge Henry F. Greene. The judge's politically-motivated decision was based primarily upon false testimony delivered by one of the Mexican kitchen workers.

The sentencing will take place on Jan. 19. She faces 180 days in jail or a $1000 fine . . . or both.

The following is a partial account of what happened, written by Dan Maloney:

well, i don tthink it should be charged a hate crime, but if the poster is in a private property and you destroy it, then this person can be charged for damaging property

All “justice” in DC is political.

(Congressmen do a lot worse—driving and assaulting officers— and get off...)

PROBABLY she will get off with just a probation agreement; BUT

it never hurts to have a good attorney present.

(No matter what it costs, it’s worth it if it avoids a sentence.)

(If she is sentenced—either to placate someone’s relatives on the force, or to set an example for those who would wreck
O’s picture or do other mischief in DC—she will likely get worse than a first time drug offender...DC “justice”...)

She should have opted for a jury trial, by which she still would have been found guilty.

She should have said she was “on her way to a vote” at the Capitol.

Oh yeah. And that thing that got her in trouble the first time....ask her not to do it again.

If someone tore down a picture of Jesus in a church, the effect would be about the same. In the case of O, you’re talkin’ about people’s religion in DC.

From what I can tell this is a good judge, and one of Reagan’s first appointments.

There's fairly common agreement among DC's locals (even in the suburbs) that tearing down posters is bad ju-ju.

If we let every tourist or visitor who comes through here to do something like that they'd soon destroy the base of a good chunk of the local economy ~ TOURISM.

Guarantee whatever the friend has done in DC if she'd done it here in Virginia she'd have discovered her cellmate was named Bubba.

Sounds like punishment for a misdemeanor, not a felony.

Sounds like she got what she deserved. Tearing down private property is against the law. Also, the punishment sounds like a misdemeanor, not a felony. I think someone is trying to excuse their friend’s criminal behavior or is a troll trying to get talking points for DU.
