Even Little-Known Democrats Seem Dangerously Underwater
Fascinating: Asked, "if the election for your Member of Congress were held today, would you likely vote to re-elect Phil Hare?," only 39.5 percent of respondents in Illinois's 17th congressional district said "yes," and 47 percent said "no." This is a traditionally modestly Democratic district, where Obama carried 56 percent of the vote in 2008.

Obama and the DEms have so poisoned the well that they may finally reap what they have sown for years in a major way.
Now , that is Change to Hope for. ;-)
is there a GOP candidate in this race?
i said it last year - GOP should put up candidates in every district they can. i understand that they have limited resources but the potential here for some serious upsets is huge
An endgangered Hare?
This is Janunary, 2010, by November, 2010 it will all be different. Americans in general, and Democrats in particular, have the memory, and brain power of a gnat.
Hare today; gone tomorrow.
I'm afraid you're right. The time between January and November is an eternity in politics. That's why we need to keep the pressure on these bast*rds and not let up!
There is obviously a large anti-incumbent Democrat wave building.
Question: How did Hare vote on Obamacare? Might this finding give him second thoughts?
Question: How did Hare vote on Obamacare?
Answer : Would Hare even dare to put a snare in Obamacare ?
Political memory of the masses is about five months, no longer. And "they" know it; the bad stuff (amnesty) is going to come fast and furious, and then all will return to "conservatism", i.e. debt reduction, "hands across the aisle", security concerns, blah, blah, even in the Media, even in Democratic candidates, for a while.
Our Democrat turd here in Pittsburgh is Mike Doyle.
Maybe this year our city will elect a Republican. Maybe not.
But if Doyle is re-elected, he will be very lonely in the House, I think.
Did a little researach myself after I posed the question.
Hare was a member of the committee that wrote the damned thing and claims pride of authorship.
So, you are correct. Hare wouldn't dare...
Even more telling that he is underwater.
He helped write the damn thing !
Not a chance in hell that a Republican wins in that district. It's basically the entire City of Pittsburgh and the old Mon Valley mill towns with a 6 to 1 Democrat registration edge.
Now the 4th district which includes the Northern and Eastern suburbs could very easily swing back to the Republicans which is exactly why the Democrat Jason Altmeir bucked the leadership and voted against both health care and the global warming bills. He knows that if he voted for them he would be out of work after November.
Democrats planning to have Hare declared an endangered species, entitled to protection against extinction.

November, 2010 it will all be different...have some courage, don’t forget the turnouts for the teaparties & the townhalls. The anti-left wave is a long way from cresting.
I think that more Democrats are turning against Obama than is being reported. The hard line leftists don’t think he is doing enough and the working class think he is doing too much.
His approval rating could soon only include blacks - which is about 15% of the country.
