HARTFORD, Conn. Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says he will seek to succeed fellow Democrat Christopher Dodd in the U.S. Senate.
Blumenthal tells The Associated Press that he will announce his candidacy at noon Wednesday at Democratic headquarters in Hartford.

Dodd’s made all the money in bribes he cares to make, he’s totally free now to be corrupted for his final votes; that’s the signal he’s sending. And the Dems have his seat covered. This is Rahm’s strategy to insulate the Dems from the consequences of voting for health care.
Sounds like a very real scenario to me. Sad, what’s happened to our country...
That was interesting. Can the AG just decide you don’t deserve a bonus and jerk it from you?
I will post a new thread and ping you.
Great FR mail coming.....
"Red and yellow lights shone from the top of the Empire State Building at dusk Wednesday, a tribute to communist China's 60th anniversary that protesters labeled "blatant approval" of totalitarianism and criticized as inappropriate for an icon in the land of the free."
GREAT post!
Thanks, glad to add my speck of sand to your mountain of fabulous research...:-)
That’s right! Excellent and I recall the ESB was also lit in Muslim colors one year too which caused a lot of grief.

Blumenthal, whose bio appears to make him superman, and whose approval rating in CT is 81%, which is astounding for any public official these days, will have to make his policy positions known. He’s not ready to do that quite yet, but that will be a telling barometer of his potential success ... how he straddles fringe New England wacko/conservative issues.

“Blumenthal said several times that he would not discuss the policy issues, saying that “today is really Chris Dodd’s day’’ and that the issues would be debated during the campaign. He added that he had “never been part of a conversation’’ among Democrats to ask Dodd to drop out of the race and that he never counseled Dodd to avoid seeking re-election.”

From what I’ve read of him, if he’s truly incorruptible, he’s quite a guy.
OK .. I just got to see the Beck/Blumenthal
video about AIG bonuses. That was a very
bad decision on his part, illustrating his
his policies about the law, so color my above
statement with this one:
that was an abominable position for attorney
general and an obvious populist, political
move.
Yup, he’s a weasel.
