The guy running Sea Shepherd, Paul Watson, is a certifiable lunatic. Greenpeace threw him out of their organization in the 1970’s for being too extreme (think about that). Here’s a brief history of some of the crap Sea Shepherd has pulled:

Note the attacks on non-whaling fishing vessels and the use of MINES to sink one whaler. This guy is the Unabomber on a boat, folks.
"Research"I have no love for whalers, but the video at the link seems to show the protest boat speeding up along the port side of the Japanese ship and then attempting to cut across its bow.
Apparently, the helmsman of the protest boat tried to cut it too fine in order to make the Japanese change course, and didn’t judge the numbers right — or was hoping to get hit.
The idea that the Japanese intentionally rammed the boat is as ludicrous as the Chinese claim that the P-3 rammed their fighter.
The Japanese stayed on course, and the Ady Gil deliberately crossed their T at point blank range.
The crew of the Ady Gil carried out this insane act of aggression in a lethally unforgiving part of the Ocean. They should be tried and hung as pirates.
I absolutely despise the “save the whales” crowd. These people are terrorists/pirates, shoot them and throw them overboard to the sharks!
Might give you a good laugh today.
Piracy and ocean combat come in many forms. The “protesters” were acting as enemy agents.
