CANTON, Ohio— A former top Romanian spy who defected to the United States in the 1970s has endorsed a U.S. House candidate in the closely watched race for Ohio's 16th Congressional District.

Ion Mihai "Mike" Pacepa, now an American citizen, is backing conservative Republican Paul Schiffer because he believes Democrats are turning America into a socialist dictatorship like the one he escaped. Pacepa's longtime translator, Wayne Barnes, confirmed the endorsement after Schiffer's campaign released it.

Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-

CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Then-Representative Bernie Sanders was the

convener and first. The founding members were concerned about the economic

hardship imposed by the deepening recession, the growing inequality brought

about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response at the time.

Additional House representatives joined soon, including Major Owens (D-NY),

Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney

Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler

(D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John

Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Its a list of the red sons of bitches in Congress who since the destruction of McCarthy; the wimpification of the GOP, and the support of their fellow travelers in the media have no problem with exposing themselves with impunity.

Good times for commies coming to an end.

From the article:

This guy has been here sine the 1970s, is a US citizen and still needs a translator? Why is that? I have Romanian friends who have been here around five years and they speak great English.

Yeah, It's hard to fathom why he needs a translator at this stage.

I don't know about Romania, but in other non-English speaking European countries, finding someone who speaks English is not such a hard task.

Heck, you can find garbage men in those countries speaking some English, so it's surprising that someone who is living in America for this length of time, and is a former spy doesn't speak English.

This guy has been here sine the 1970s, is a US citizen and still needs a translator? Why is that

Because he is afraid of ending up dead by a Putin hit squad, like the Russian spy who died in London.

I don't think he really needs a translator. I think he just doesn't want to be in the public eye and die mysteriously.
