Accused killers showed no remorse during questioning

MONT VERNON – Murder was always part of the plan when four young men agreed to break in to a local home and "just kill the people...for fun," according to one of the alleged killers who told police it felt "cool" to kill the mother but regretted her 11-year-old daughter lived.

Cristopher A. Gribble, 20, admitted he and Steven Spader, 18, stood on either side of the bed where Kimberly L. Cates was sleeping with her daughter Jaimie during the Oct. 4 pre-dawn home invasion at 4 Trow Road, court documents released today reveal.

I hestitate to use the term hero, but the first responder cop broke down the door and saved the young girl’s life. He was a hero.

I can’t even imagine the feelings of the first responders. The cops handled themselves very, very professionally in this instance, IMO.

Now lets hope the courts don’t drop the ball. Death penalty is not an option. I hope these punks, after conviction, are released into the general population and are then brutalized for the remainder of their worthless lives.

Notice how the eyes don't smile. Every inch a sociopath. What a shame he can't hang.

If we’d horsewhip these people to death, it would make these crimes less appealing.

Clockwise from top left: Steven Spader, Christopher Gribble, William Marks, and Quinn Glover.

Agreed. A dog by itself, except perhaps something like a Rotty, will not stop determined armed attackers. Will do a great job of alerting you to the attack, and will likely slow it down somewhat, but won’t stop it.

Don’t actually need a dog, BTW. A friend of ours in a remove area of CO, somewhat like the location in the article, disliked dogs. He kept half a dozen geese. Absolutely nobody got within 50 yards of the house without everybody inside knowing they were there.

I believe gun ownership should be exercised by everyone who can legally exercise that right. However, after reading the description of this horrific crime, a gun and knowing how to use it would not have done anything to prevent this slaughter. If the police report and affidavit is correct and after a reasonable trial, I also believe the State should exercise the death penalty in this case as quickly as possible.

He also said Spader had been a member of the Crips, an organized street gang, the affidavit alleges.

I'm sure he was a Crip only in his imagination. Most likely they were "Juggaloes" --fans of the horrorcore rap group Insane Clown Posse. Whenever you hear of middle-class white kids committing senseless attacks using machetes or hatchets, the moronic, albeit violent, Juggalo subculture is the first place to start looking for clues.

Agreed. Unfortunately, it appears this crime doesn’t meet the NH standard for capital punishment.

Since the Constitution doesn’t allow retroactively changing the law, they won’t be executed.

Of course, releasing them into the general prison population might result in a somewhat shorter lifespan. There are quite a number of guys in there who have daughters and are able and willing to express their disapproval forcefully.

Maybe, maybe not. The police report is attached to the article, and its ugly, ugly grizzly stuff.

One report said the mother was awakened by the killers, and she actually asked “who’s there?” before they killed her.

The death penalty doesn’t apply to these psychos in NH. Personally, I think a needle or electrocution would be much too lenient a sentence.

I wanna see them in the general population, for life, where they can get the special treatment they deserve. I hope every single minute of every single day of the rest of their worthless lives is a nightmare for these sub-humans.

Drano enemas seem to be needed here to clear up their thinking.

The shoot ‘em. Where it hurts the most.

I very much oppose any Federal or State prisoners "punishing" or raping other prisoners. Its not their job and its certainly not their place to perform punishment on my behalf. If these monsters should get the death penalty, then it should be carried out as quickly as possible. If this trash can not get the death penalty, then they all should get the next most severe punishments legally available. Rape or "prison justice" is not and should never be legal. The State locking trash away should not turn over punishment to other trash and then claim it is doing so on my behalf. We are still a Nation of Laws.

Guess maybe they need to add another capitol crime: “just kill the people...for fun ...” - If anybody does this to anyone in my family they will not make it to trial. :-(

If they really are sociopaths/psychopaths, they should be put down like violent animals because they will never feel true remorse for what they’ve done or be cured.
