MONT VERNON Murder was always part of the plan when four young men agreed to break in to a local home and "just kill the people...for fun," according to one of the alleged killers who told police it felt "cool" to kill the mother but regretted her 11-year-old daughter lived.
Cristopher A. Gribble, 20, admitted he and Steven Spader, 18, stood on either side of the bed where Kimberly L. Cates was sleeping with her daughter Jaimie during the Oct. 4 pre-dawn home invasion at 4 Trow Road, court documents released today reveal.

Hang them. Then let the vultures do the rest.
NH has a partial solution.
Some will not get the message with less!!
More critical in this case would have been a loud dog or an alarm system. When armed killers are standing over sleeping you, the mere fact you own a gun and know how to use it isn’t much help.
My daughter owns a Chihuaha that wouldn’t be much help in physical resistance. But I can guarantee you nobody’s going to sneak around in our house without him going absolutely berserk.
Agree. A gun combined with a dog or alarm with battery backup. These punks cut the power to the house before they committed their murder and mayhem.
I live in the next town. This has been big news for months, but the details of the murder were only released today.
As a previous poster said, “there are no words...” The police report is attached to the article. Its grizzly reading, one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read.
This is a case where the cops should have been able to take out their gun and shot this thing in the face.
“The truth is, Colonel, that there’s no divine spark, bless you. There’s, many a man alive no more value than a dead dog.”

We have an alarm system, a Pit Bull, and I personally own a pink 9mm.
Come in my house any way but by invitation and the front door and I hope you’re right with Jesus....
The sick part is that we have people who oppose the Death Penalty for criminals like this....Death Penalty opponents are one of the biggest immoral groups of people around.
These perps need to be executed, and it needs to be brutal. This Criminal Rights mentality...to do away with the Death Penalty, is why we have more of these sick crimes.
OH, and, yes....arm yourself and lear how to use your weapon....very good point. You will save yourself....and many others from future criminal activity
They see their share of ugliness here in NH, but nothing like this.
Snip
Four teenagers appeared Tuesday in Milford District Court in connection with the slaying. Steven Spader, 17, and Christopher Gribble, 19, both of Brookline, were charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder. William Marks, 18, and Quinn Glover, 17, both of Amherst, were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and robbery.
According to the New Hampshire Attorney Generals Office, the crime does not fit within the states definition of a capital murder. The current statute restricts issuing the death penalty to cases when a law enforcement or judicial officer is killed in the line of duty, in the case of murder-for-hire, if the accused is currently serving a life sentence or when the murder occurs in connection with a kidnapping, drug crime or sexual assault.
Unbelievable, these evil murderers stand a chance of living.
Get rid of them, then feed them to the fish.
A reminder that many murderers kill not out of hate, but because they actually enjoy the act.
These sociopaths are beyond redemption.
I thought if someone is killed in the process of a crime - everyone is up for murder?
These are beings devoid of human feelings. They should never walk the streets again/
More like “they stand no chance of being executed.” Read some where that New Hampshire hasn’t executed anyone since 1939.

According to this, Jeffrey Dahmer and I have a lot in common. All those ants I fried with a magnifying glass as a child now come back to haunt me. No wonder my daughter is allergic to the sting of a fire ant—pay back from the insect world.
