I guess more than just a few were angered by the bailouts.

I bought a Mercury sedan back in 2005 and couldn’t be happier! Any time I’ve taken the car in for service, I’m asked by the service manager if I’m interested in trading in the car for a newer model. Apparently 2005-2009 Mercury vehicles are in high demand right now!

Ford makes a consistent product. Every older Ford I’ve owned had cooling system issues and eventual A/C problems, but engines and drive trains required minimal maintenance, even over 100K miles.

Good job FORD. The only US car maker that is truly American.

BTW, I got a chance to check out my cousin’s new Ford Flex the other day. Very cool vehicle.

The government backing of GM and Chrysler is the best thing that ever happened to Ford.

I live in the South and my son is involved in the auto industry. I cannot tell you how many people have come to him and told him they would never, on principle, buy a “government motors” car.

It may not be harming their sales in the NE, but here in the South, it is deadly.

We own a 95 Taurus (142K miles), 98 Explorer XLT (208K miles) and a 2008 Fusion (18.7K miles). The two older always did and still run great. We love the Fusion...great car with lot’s of extras for the money. Couldn’t be more pleased with it; wouldn’t mind owning two!

Any one out there wanting a Friends and Neighbor discount from Ford, just let me know. All I need is name, address and the last four digits of your social security number. I will get you a pin number you take to the dealer. No haggling on price. My dear husband is a Ford salaried retiree and son-in-law is a Ford engineer.

FORD is behaving very anti-socialistic and will be subject to Obama’s Thugs.

On my 4th Suburban... when this one dies.. I am buying a Ford Expedition or a Toyota Sequoia. I'll NEVER buy a GM (government motors) vehicle. If you buy a new one, you're a traitor. Either you'll support and pay for the Government Motors thieves to make money or you will buy something else. I'd personally like to see a total collapse of GM and every one of the workers find another job or riot on Washington.

After driving foreign cars for most of 30 years, I bought a 2008 Ford Edge a little over a year ago. It’s a very solid vehicle, is well built, and handles and drives well (and I’m saying this as someone who traded in a very reliable 2003 BMW 325i).

I’ve been very impressed by Ford products. If anyone is considering a new car I’d say stop by your local Ford dealership and test drive a few of their cars.
