If Martha Coakley is only polling 50%, she’s in BIG trouble! She is WELL known in this state, and should have been a shoe-in as the Dem. candidate, if folks were motivated to get out and vote. It’s entirely possible that Scott Brown could pull it out, since the Republican voters seem MUCH more motivated than the Dems. Heck, there are probably a lot of typical Dem voters that aren’t paying attention at all, because it’s not the normal time for an election. And I’m truly hoping that some knee-jerk Dems vote for Joe Kennedy, hoping that the ‘legacy’ will continue. ;o)
