DHS Plans to Catch Only One in Four Travelers Committing ‘Major’ Criminal Violations...

Documents produced by the Department of Homeland Security indicate that in fiscal 2010 the department is planning to catch only 26 percent of travelers committing major criminal violations while seeking to enter the United States through international airports.

DHS documents also indicate that the department believes it will fail to screen against law enforcement databases 15 percent of travelers entering the United States in 2010 through all official ports of entry.

In fiscal 2008, according to DHS, the department caught only 25 percent of those committing “major violations” while entering the U.S. on international flights. It also planned to catch only 25% in fiscal 2009, which ended on Sept. 30. For fiscal 2010, which began on Oct. 1, DHS set it sites slightly higher, planning to catch 26 percent of “major” violators entering the U.S. on international flights while letting 74 percent get away.

DHS each year calculates what it calls the “air passenger apprehension rate for major violations.” This apprehension rate is used as one measure of whether the department is achieving its goal to “improve the targeting, screening, and apprehension of high-risk international cargo and travelers to prevent terrorist attacks, while providing processes to facilitate the flow of safe and legitimate trade and travel.”

The “major violations” that DHS believes 74 percent of perpetrators will get away with when entering the U.S. by air in 2010, according to a 3,493-page document the department presented to Congress to justify its annual budget, involve “serious criminal activity, including possession of narcotics, smuggling of prohibited products, human smuggling, weapons possession, fraudulent U.S. documents, and other offenses serious enough to result in arrest.”

get rid of the TSA and let private companies come back where those companies can hire ex vets who know the score and know what is what instead of having these idiots doing the security.

I swear seeing a muslim woman stopping and searching a nun confirmed how stupid these people are.
Mother in law in her 70’s comes down to visit and she gets pulled over and searched while 3 pakistani muslim young guys just get waved on .

Stop with the PC crap, get people who are not stupid and who have had to cheat to leave middle school fired.

Our lives are at risk and we have to do PC or hire idiots who cannot think for themselves.

certain airports like Newark, JFK, Dulles, Chicago, Detroit have to have the biggest fools this country has ot offer

Most rational folks recognize these truths but it will take another attack much larger than 911 to wake up the other half long enough to effect some serious changes to the way we deal with anything percieved as PC. Action will be required to be quick because the same fools who went back to American Idol will depart as soon as they perceive that Daddy Government has their back again.

Homeland Security is partnering to stop Hollywood film piracy. Wonder how much of the effort at “stopping crime” is looking at “smuggled” bootleg DVDs.

People from muslim supremacist nations are scoffing at the idea of profiling and strip searching passengers.

What’s the alternative? Sending EVERYONE through the x-ray scanner that is a virtual strip search.

Even the New York Times’ faith in big government is being shaken, judging by an editorial published over the weekend. They were still foolish and ignorant enough to wonder why the government isn’t at least as efficient as Google, but they’re groping towards the truth. Perhaps this will be the year that the New York Times editorial board discovers Capitalism.

Can you imagine treating a bacterial infection,
or a cancer but planning on only killing 26%
of the bacteria or cancer cells?

QUACK. QUACK.

Government agencies never relinquish power. Once they have it, it’s all over.

Rom 1:25-28
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

26% = failure.
No wonder they could not connect the dots on the attempted terrorist act of Flight 253.

If anyone of these idiots thinks 26% equates to the “system works,” they are not only idiotic morons who should be promptly fired, we, the American people, are fraked!

Prior to 911 the private companies were hiring illegal aliens as screeners.

even now the Govt has hired illegals and idiots.

impose stricter regulation and screening and I bet if they hired more ex vets, law enforcement then the illegal problem will not be as bad or not at all .

problem is that the left do not want to limit illegals getting jobs, hell many of them want illegals to vote
