It speaks eloquently to the Obama administration’s priorities that it took the White House four days to acknowledge the “catastrophic breach of security” that led to the failed bombing of a US-bound jet on Christmas Day — but a scant four hours to accuse Dick Cheney of coddling terrorists.

The former vice president Wednesday harshly criticized the administration’s efforts — or non-efforts — against terrorism. Whereupon, Team Obama went ballistic.

But Cheney’s take was spot-on: “We are at war” against terrorism, but President Obama “pretends we aren’t.” This, warned Cheney, “makes us less safe.”

Precisely.

Obama, he said, “seems to think that if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won’t be at war.

“He seems to think that if he closes Guantanamo and releases the hardcore al Qaeda-trained terrorists still there, we won’t be at war.”

“Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war?” asked Cheney — then answered the question: “It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency — social transformation, the restructuring of American society.”

.....That the White House feels the need to respond to Cheney so quickly and vehemently suggests two things:

* First, that they believe the former veep is a lot more popular and influential than they’d care to let on.

* Second, that his words are more reflective of reality than they’ll ever admit.

The truth, especially when spoken to power, really can hurt.

I would rather have Cheney’s talk than Obama’s talk, in regards to this Islamic terrorism. But, there is still a problem with whichever administration we refer to, as neither had acknowledged that we are in a war against Islam, as that’s at the base of all of these terrorist attacks. Islam is waging war against the West and the West refuses to acknowledge that, and especially the U.S. refuses to acknowledge that Islam is at war with us. They decline to wage war against Islam — and will continue to do that, until the big terrorist attack comes and wipes out millions of people. Maybe after that, the government will acknowledge that we are at war with Islam.

Dick Cheney is a great America who was unfairly slimed by the Democrats and their lapdog media puppets. The more he speaks out, the better.

These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

This is the Odipsh-t administration in a nutshell.

To date, three terrorist attacks in continental USA, all by jihadists, none by right wing returning veterans.

Obama, Brennan, Napolitano and every democrat or republican expressing confidence in any of the above should be thrown out of Congress on their collective fat asses in 2010.
