The incompetence of the US intelligence bureaucracy is not the only thing that makes Underpantsgate so damaging for Obama. More serious is his failure to understand or acknowledge the nature of the enemy - and to view war as mere politics.
For the Obamanistas everything is measured by whether or not it is damaging to Obama; the security of the nation is way, way down the list of priorities.

I tend to watch the whole Lord of the Rings Trillogy between Christmas and New Years. Each year it seems to relate to current events in a different way. This year, it seemed to me that Obama is Saruman, sitting in Isenguard (the White House) with people coming to realize that he has aligned himself with dark powers that seek to destroy the free world of men. The GOP are the Ents, not yet awakened. Limbaugh is Gandalf, Palin is Aragorn, the MSM are the orcs.
To be fair, Barack Obama’s "vulnerabilities" will probably only get a few of us killed at a time - a few airline passengers, a few CIA agents, a few more soldiers, and a few others here and there. With bad luck, we may even lose a few cities (okay, the cities are full of Obama voters, but they're still Americans, mostly). Still, that's a long way from getting us all killed.
