Like a fire sprinkler was going to put out a 24,000 gallon jet fuel fire

It certainly was not going to put out the burning aluminum. It takes hell to get aluminum to burn, but water is the last thing you want to try to use to put it out (think sodium).

I hope you caught the sarcastic tone especially when reading my first response to his rediculous statement about the sprinklers. I thought of following up that the only way sprinlers would have put out that fire was to flush everything out the windows which would have included all of the people as well. The scene was ugly enough already with those who decided to take fate in their own hands rather than being roasted alive.
