FBI: Maybe more terror clues missed
Meeting with reporters Wednesday, Mueller expressed more uncertainty than he had previously displayed on whether the September 11 attacks could possibly have been prevented.
He repeated his previous assertion that no single piece of intelligence available to the FBI would have revealed the plot.

Here’s thought:
We had warnings that a “Nigerian” would try to get a bomb aboard a U.S. airliner.
The Saudis briefed the White House about the “underwear bomb”.
Based on these two indicators, we could have directed that all males with Nigerian passports be subjected to secondary screening prior to being allowed to board any U.S. airliner. Seems a reasonable approach to me.

This is like a receiver getting wide open in the end zone and the defenders telling their coach that they didn’t blow their coverage assignments.
Are they going to use that excuse when some “isolated extremist” detonates a nuke from the top of Sears Tower?
She was not and will not be fired, nor will she resign, but at least she's recognized now as an inept fool......and she's skating on thin ice. One more slip of her forked tongue and she'll be out.
Hope this Dumb Dilbert "security adviser" for Obama eventually meets a similar fate.

That’s the very nature of intelligence. You’re expected to tie bits and pieces together based on experience, knowledge, and history. Rarely do you have the good fortune of having all of the ‘tiles’ that enable you to clearly see the full picture of the mosaic. It doesn’t get much easier than having the “father’s warning”; that was KEY information. A gift in intelligence terms. These people are rank amateurs.
It certainly appears to be so.

Seems our crew can’t even get hindsight correct, and that’s tough because hindsight is the only exact science.
I saw this interview, and he was a complete weasel, refusing to answer any questions directly, and using mealy-mouthed language that would make Harry Reid blush. Made me angry to listen to him on - where else - CNN!
OMG. The bomb was the smoking gun. There were at least 4 red flags that went up between October and Christmas.
