Obama Effigy: 278,000
Bush Effigy: 2,010,000
Secret Service must have been busy in the Bush years tracking down all those effigies.

OK, a gallows is the city’s most recognizable site dedicated to former President Jimmy Carter. What the hell is the problem?

Probably a Carter supporter who does not like the competition for the worst President ever title.

Plains isn’t much of a town, and Jimmah wasn’t much of a president!

All 15 of the residents are upset about this.
I certainly don’t condone any form of death threats but Plains, Georgia is nothing more than 2 blocks of Jimmy Carter, one of the most misguided Presidents in history and it’s finally hit Plains.
I guess Obama wouldn’t give him a sack full of dough to keep that “blink, it’s gone” dead town alive. Jimmy has always been successful in finding federal money to keep his shrine alive.
Hey Jimmy, maybe you too can embark on an Apology Tour.
The Never Ending Apology Tour.

Probably so, that is a much coveted title among Democrats.

Considering Jimmy Carter's history of racism in running for governor, why is this a shock?
Totally against this kind of thing, not just because racism sucks, but because it convinces some people that any critic of Obama is secretly racist underneath. I hate the guy's policies and idiocy, couldn't give a damn what color he is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a member of Obama & Co who put it there to gain the false sympathy Obama is always seeking.

A new poll showed 37% of effigies approved, 37% of teleprompters disapproved and obuma took credit for creating a job when the secret service bought a bag of boiled peanuts.
To: bogusname
I think it's obvious that the hanging effigy of Obama was, in fact, a metaphor for hanging the policies of the Obama administration.

“Plains is proud of Jimmy Carter with patriotism on display almost everywhere, tourists walked around...”
You can’t help who comes from your town, but you sure as hell can decide whether to be proud or not.
I will never visit Plains, Ga.
