A downtown protest of the climate change talks in Copenhagen became a victim of Wednesday's snowstorm.
"Not many people showed up because of the blizzard conditions," said organizer Clea Major, an international studies student at the University of Utah.
It didn't take long for the six friends to pack up a bullhorn and posters they'd planned to use for their "scream-in," an outlet for their frustration about the failure of the Copenhagen climate talks earlier this month to curb the pollution blamed for climate change.

What was really fun was the internet promoted snow ball fight the next day at 14th and U Sts in DC. About 200 people were having a ball fight when a few balls hit a Hummer driven by an off duty cop. He came out with gun drawn in plain clothes. People started yelling “you don’t bring a gun to a snowball fight” while others were laughing. Then someone called the police to report a man with a gun (he was not wearing his uniform). Finally the mess was straightened out with no harm done.
That night my son called from Miami and he was laughing when I reported these happenings. Then he said, “OH, my gosh, they are showing that here on the evening news.” Small world, goofy story, happy holidays.
Worse than that, they get to vote.
Yeah, I'd like someone to come up with some kind of percentage figure on the possibility of freezing cold happening every time the GW folks go on a tear. But hey, why wait? I can make up statistics too...it's less than 1%! Just prove me wrong.

Regarding all this nonsense over "global warming", I'm still waiting. Had to shovel another four inches of snow off my driveway this morning.
Seriously, nobody can accurately predict what weather we will be having five days from now. So why does anybody believe them when they try to tell us what will happen years from now?
Being that we are between ice ages, technically we have been in global warming for thousands of years. Thousands of years from now, most of North America will once again be buried under a mile of ice.
