Mitt Romney - that rare political breed, a Republican elected statewide in Massachusetts - told supporters yesterday that if Scott Brown can pull off a similar feat next month in the US Senate special election, it would shock the country and send a strong message that business as usual in Washington is coming to an end.
He would bring badly-needed fiscal restraint to an out-of-control budget process that is adding trillions of dollars to our national debt, said Romney, the former Bay State governor who gives every indication hes preparing a second presidential bid in 2012.

Another victim of old sparky. The more time goes on the more I despise Romney and his sycophants. These liberals out themselves one at a time and just like a shooting gallery they get picked off for espousing their liberal ideas in support of Flip Romney.

Right on. I’ve been carrying that flame-thrower for several years now. Nuke Slick Willard’s unholy Socialist candidacy from orbit, it’s the only way.

Guess you should have stayed quiet.
No more RINOs. We’re done with them, at least as nominees. If you can’t get that through your head, too bad.

Ahhhh Diog. - not to worry or let the “Mitt Kittens” get your blood pressure up...
Sarah’s book was the top seller for 2009, and I have a hunch that while Mitt’s book may sell more copies than Nancy Pelosi’s, it will sell significantly less in total than “Going Rogue” did...
in the month before its release date...LOL!
Sarah’s support is so extraordinarily deep and wide (I saw evidence of this myself waiting in line at her booksigning event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on December 10. Over 1500 showed up - many even staying overnight in the parking lot, despite temperatures that topped out in daytime at about 14 degrees) that if she does opt to declare herself a candidate for President ahead of 2012, the mediocre ship “Romney” will go down as if torpedoed broadsides. He will go down in flames on, or before “Super Tuesday”
And yes I was fortunate enough to both get an autograph in my copy of “Going Rogue: An American Life”, and to chat briefly with Sarah and husband Todd.
Truly warm and genuine people who smile with their entire countenance as they look you in the eyes.
Sarah is neither idiot, nor lightweight (this is evident in her book), and she has my vote and my full support should she run.
A.A.C.
Board the good ship “Sarah P”, or stay ashore and wonder what the raucous party is all about...

It all puts me in mind of the clergyman (priest? pastor? I forget) recently reported about on the news who told his congregation that it's alright to steal sometimes, like when you're broke, but if you do be sure to do it at a place like Wal-Mart.
It's okay to lie (to constuents in order to be elected) and do your damndest to keep others opinions from being heard on FR) -- as long as you're doing it for Romney.

You need to accept responsibility for yourself, dear -- the responsibility to be willing to play rough-and-tumble on a rough-and-tumble forum instead of whining that the "children" aren't playing nice when they passionately disagree with you.
You need to accept responsibility for the ire you raise when you subtly insult fellow FReepers, call them children, and attempt to prop up a candidate whose record demonstrates betrayal of conservative principles.
In short, you need to take responsibility for putting yourself in the kitchen; if you don't like the heat, take responsibily and either put on an asbestos apron or go to a cooler place, but don't try to boss other people around.
YOU are the one who needs to take responsibility for the things you bring on yourself. Instead, you seem to want everybody else to be responsible for catering to your ideas of what is and isn't "playing nice."

...who was the other one? It was RedStateDefender, who way back early on this thread wrote: ... the tone of [Free Republic] is set by the owner who is a nasty, ill-educated, megalomaniacal piece of work. If so many of his fawning twits think I am about to get zotted, they are probably right. And I just hate it when the SOB pulls the plug on you and you don't even know it...I don't want to give him the sexual pleasure of power tripping me tonight.
Of course, many FR Romney supporters will claim that this disgusting piece of work was booted off FR because he was pro-Romney. They never stop to ask the question: if being simply pro-Romney was enough to get you kicked off, why are they still here?
