Whingeing Poms say keep crims
The Daily Telegraph ^ | January 2, 2010 | Charles Miranda

TWO hundred years ago its worst citizens were transported to the other side of the world, creating Australia in the process - now cash-strapped Britain wants its former colony to again keep its criminals.

In the past 12 months, dozens of British-born paedophiles, rapists and career criminals - many aged in their late 50s and 60s - were deported to the UK after finishing their sentences in Australian jails, despite having lived most of their lives here.

Among them was notorious paedophile Raymond Horne, who had to be given a police escort through Heathrow Airport amid British outrage over his forced return from Queensland.

UK campaigners fear that a lack of connection to their former homeland, including no support base of family and friends, makes the serial offenders more likely to reoffend.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the safest thing for our society and its children is to execute serial pedophiles.

I’m not talking about someone who gets caught once and never commits that type of crime again, but those who repeatedly commit vicious crimes against children like torture, rape, sodomy, and murder.

As they say down under “Turn about is fair dinkum”. The Poms dumped their crims in the American colonies long before they dropped them off in Oz.

Oh, absolutely. Over two victims, it should be an automatic death penalty.

Anyone who can have an o. while torturing a child (it’s always torture if they are so young) simply needs to die. Rehab is not possible in this life, in my opinion. I unapologetically stand for the death penalty for child rape (NOT statutory rape, I always hasten to add).

If they got caught and convicted with one, how many more were there, probably?

What are the odds they get caught the first and only time?

We do not want whinging pommy crims DownUnder. Like Jon Venables and Robert Thompson who murdered wee James Bulger.

Either keep ‘em in England, or hang ‘em better still — don’t send ‘em DownUnder because we don’t want ‘em.

“Tory MPs Philip Davies and Andrew Rosindell said it was lamentable Australia could jettison criminals while under UK law it couldn’t do the same.”
So change your law you fools. Why should Australia have to keep your citizens just because they commited a crime there?

We’ll never solve the crime problem until these scum are released and housed in elite towns and neighborhoods and predate upon the children, wives and property of elite opinion makers.

Immigration agent at Sydney airport: “Sir, do you have a criminal record?”
Passenger: “No, is that a requirement for entry?”

Fair enough - but in the same way, why should we take your crims?

You don’t. If a Pom gets into criminal mischief DownUnder, we punish him properly and then deport him home to where he belongs.

Living DownUnder is a privilege not a right, unless one is a citizen.

I love this refreshingly un-PC headline. I’m guessing in similar circumstances when referring to other national groups, this newspaper makes liberal references to Abbos, Lebbos, Wops and Chinks... Right?

Anyone accepting of pedophiles back into society should read the old fable about the Scorpion and the Fox.

(grin!) I wouldn’t be at all surprised, tho’ I don’t often read this newspaper. Nothing our Australian Cousins do would surprise me, tho’.

DownUnder everyone seems to get a label.

Normally “Pom” is a moderately-affectionate term DownUnder, used even for those of us who were not born in Britain but who are, however, British. When we get to no longer be called “Poms” is hard to say — the mere act of taking out NZ or Australian Citizenship doesn’t do the trick.

A “Whinging Pom” is an Englishman who always complains about how colonial things are DownUnder, and makes comparisons all the time with “home” (which is always, for him, a place in the Northern Hemisphere). It happens with a sufficient frequency to have become an identifiable trait, which has earned its own label. Everybody DownUnder knows at least one Whinging Pom.

I don’t know if there is an equivalent term for a homesick Lebanese migrant — one that pines for his bombed-out Beiruit neighborhood.

Notwithstanding, all of us non-Maori get to be referred to as “Pakeha” in NZ — a pejorative term that seems to have found general acceptance over the years, why I’ll never know.

Similarly, amongst Samoans we are referred to as “Palagi” — also a pegorative term for non-Samoans.

Like I said, everyone gets a label. Some of us get several.
