Hundreds of Cars Torched in France at New Year
Fri Jan 1, 2010 PARIS (Reuters) - Youths burned 1,137 cars across France overnight as New Year's Eve celebrations once again turned violent, the French Interior Ministry said on Friday. Car burnings are regular occurrences in poor suburbs that ring France's big cities, but the arson is especially prevalent during New Year's Eve revelry.
The number of vehicles torched was only 10 short of the record 1,147 burned this time last year, even though the Interior Ministry mobilized 45,000 police during the night -- 10,000 more than 12 months ago.

Maybe next New Years the French will wise up and leave their cars parked on the street filled with incendiaries. When the “youths” light them up, they’ll go with ‘em!

Theyre gettin all oui-ouied up over there...LOL! The French don't need a "Cash For Clunkers" program to stimulate car sales. They have "yoots"!

I wasn’t aware there was such a large concentration of Amish in France.

This is the French-Muslim version of “Cash for Clunkers” Helps the moribund French auto industry

The system works! 10000 additional cops, 10 cars saved. No problem.

But there is no concept of “private property” in socialist France.

But there is no concept of private property in socialist France.Nor is there here, thanks to the Kelo decision. But I certainly admire the French first couple more than our slimy Marxist duo in the White House.
To: Steelfish
“Youths”? They must mean “Yewts”, which is, I believe, a politically correct euphemism for young male Muslim criminals.

But there is no concept of private property in socialist France. How true and how tragic and that concept is trying to weave it's way into our lives.
