Fox, Time Warner: A Deal Is Done ShareThis EMAIL PRINT vote nowBuzz up! By Josef Adalian Published: January 01, 2010
Peace is at hand in the standoff between Time Warner Cable and Fox, with both sides announcing a new carriage deal after marathon negotiations that streched into the New Year.
No word yet on how close Time Warner came to meeting Fox's $1 per subscriber request.
Here's the release just issued by both companies:
The Fox Networks Group and Time Warner Cable announced today that they have agreed in principle to a comprehensive distribution agreement to provide more than 13 million households with programming from Fox Television Stations, Fox Broadcasting (FOX), Fox Cable Networks and Foxs regional sports networks. The deal also includes carriage agreements for Bright House Networks 2 million additional subscribers.
"We're pleased that, after months of negotiations, we were able to reach a fair agreement with Time Warner Cable -- one that recognizes the value of our programming, said Chase Carey, Deputy Chairman, President and COO, News Corporation.
Were happy to have reached a reasonable deal with no disruption in programming for our customers, said Glenn Britt, Chairman, President and CEO, Time Warner Cable.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
148 bucks a month..DAMN, for that price you better be getting every pay channel known to man
My wife is going through withdrawals!

Time Warner is the only cable company in my area, I think it’s pretty much that way across the country though. We do have 2 satellite options but they are still more expensive than cable, last time I checked. We pay about $135 a month and that is w/o any pay channels.
No word yet on how close Time Warner came to meeting Fox's $1 per subscriber request.
[[Guess that means my cable is going up again, great : (]]
It also means that practically every other network is now goign to renegotiate their prices, so expect prices to go up steadily in the next year
You know, you can get FOX News and FOX Business, along with many other channels, over the internet from a Christian-founded company for about $20 a month.
