LOL!!!!! I often times throw stuff at my radio when NPR "reports the news", but this one had me rolling.

This is how much they love government. Cali is a great place right now because of their welfare.

Good grief

Thanks, union protectionists. You get what you reap.

Violently (by majority or plurality force) taxing people more skilled than yourselves (neurosurgeons, nuclear engineers, attorneys) - What a rip off.

Enjoy the capital flight — and the tax base erosion, union Marxists.

What a bunch of thuggish cry baby bullies in the various CA govt bureaucracies...

Politicians make me sick. I hope we get rid of the lot of them and their foolish lies.

Vote new people in that care about this country.

it's reported he will ask for as much as $8 billion in help from the feds. If the state doesn't get it, Schwarzenegger will reportedly call for the total elimination of welfare

8 billion is such a small amount. I vote for option 2.

Nobody in the local media here are reporting these stories that are so important. What we get in the State Newspapers are human interest stories, traffic accidents and stories about how so many are suffering without health care insurance. It's the same day after day.

Nobody talks about how they increase the tax rate and got less revenue. Nobody talks about how businesses are leaving CA if they can. And then the Newspapers are wondering why they are going out of business.

When they run out of taxpayers, they will really be the empty promises land.

You will hear a loud flushing sound as 3 million mexicans run south across the border.
Good plan.....

Personally, I’m all for California being the “welfare promised land”, like this NPR assclown Myers says. Whatever serves as a magnet for deadbeats, bums, and parasites works for me, as long as it keeps them away from Pennsylvania. I like San Fransicko serving as a sodomite magnet, too. God bless the fine voters of California.

“Schwarzenegger will reportedly call for the total elimination of welfare and in-home health care programs...”

I will believe it when I see it. And I will then remind folks that if the CA governor and legislature had exercised a little common sense in prior years, this would not be happening. Therefore, they have no one to blame but themselves.

“total elimination of welfare” — O, My God. Wouldn’t that be wonderful. Send those illegal aliens packing.

Look for increased traffic citations in an attempt to fill the gap.

Half-sacrasm.

As a California State worker with the department of highways, I had very high hopes when we had a proposition on the ballot to require unions to get our permission before using our dues for politics. The Nurses union and Teachers union and CSEA (now absorbed by SEIU) killed that proposition. Somebody needs to get that proposition put back on the ballot. If they can constantly work toward homosexual marriage, we need to constantly work to deprive the employee unions of the flood of money going to democratic politicians.

It makes me furious that I am forced to give my union dues to Democrats for re-election.
