California Will Begin 2010 With Massive Budget Gap ( Welfare makes Cali the promised land ) BARF

STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Arnold Schwarzenegger begins his final year as governor of California in 2010. It's another year that begins with another multibillion-dollar state budget deficit. Schwarzenegger is looking to the federal government for help. John Myers of member station KQED has more.
JOHN MYERS: At an event just a few miles from the state capital in Sacramento, Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked whether he had any New Year's resolutions in mind.
...
State Senator DARRELL STEINBERG (Democrat, California): We give billions of dollars in business tax credits and nobody really knows whether or not they're really creating jobs, and I'm a big skeptic.
MYERS: While Governor Schwarzenegger's new budget plan is not yet public, it's reported he will ask for as much as $8 billion in help from the feds. If the state doesn't get it, Schwarzenegger will reportedly call for the total elimination of welfare and in-home health care programs. Those kinds of cuts could be devastating, and they might only fuel the national perception that California is now less the promised land and more the comic punch line.
For NPR News, I'm John Myers in Sacramento.

LOL!!!!! I often times throw stuff at my radio when NPR "reports the news", but this one had me rolling.
This is how much they love government. Cali is a great place right now because of their welfare.
Good grief

Thanks, union protectionists. You get what you reap.
Violently (by majority or plurality force) taxing people more skilled than yourselves (neurosurgeons, nuclear engineers, attorneys) - What a rip off.
Enjoy the capital flight — and the tax base erosion, union Marxists.
What a bunch of thuggish cry baby bullies in the various CA govt bureaucracies...

Politicians make me sick. I hope we get rid of the lot of them and their foolish lies.
Vote new people in that care about this country.

Too bad we couldn’t vote on the NPR people. We do pay a good portion of their paychecks after all.
The audio is interesting too. In true journalistic fashion, this guy rolls off with this line as if it’s nothing and isn’t a biased piece of garbage.

Nobody in the local media here are reporting these stories that are so important. What we get in the State Newspapers are human interest stories, traffic accidents and stories about how so many are suffering without health care insurance. It's the same day after day.
Nobody talks about how they increase the tax rate and got less revenue. Nobody talks about how businesses are leaving CA if they can. And then the Newspapers are wondering why they are going out of business.

Kalifornia will turn into a highly depressed zone. Housing prices will be in the tank, the septic tank. The state employees will have jobs, and Law Enforcement will be busy trying to stop hungry people from taking what they need to survive. The cities will not be a fun place to be and the rural counties will be an armed camp.
The feds will never let all this happen. If it ever gets started it will cascade and take the rest of the nation with it.

Personally, I’m all for California being the “welfare promised land”, like this NPR assclown Myers says. Whatever serves as a magnet for deadbeats, bums, and parasites works for me, as long as it keeps them away from Pennsylvania. I like San Fransicko serving as a sodomite magnet, too. God bless the fine voters of California.

If it ever gets started it will cascade and take the rest of the nation with it.That's another reason we need to build a fence between California and America.

Thanks FRiend.
It's fine as long as it's not in YOUR backyard?
Y'all need to quit sending us the sludge of your populations only to act like it's ok because you already sent us some of your sludge before.

While I feel sorry for the voters who have brains, the elected officials created the problems so it is up to these well paid leaches to do their job and correct he mess they made.
There is no reason that the entire nation needs to bail them out as it does nothing to change their mindless spending habits.

You don’t need to fence off the whole state, just the cities and the state capital. The rest of the state has the best ag ground in the world. The rest of the state is also red, conservative.

“Schwarzenegger will reportedly call for the total elimination of welfare and in-home health care programs...”
I will believe it when I see it. And I will then remind folks that if the CA governor and legislature had exercised a little common sense in prior years, this would not be happening. Therefore, they have no one to blame but themselves.

San Francisco's name will be changed to “Sodomite City”
Los Angles will become “North Mexico City”
and Sacramento will become “the land of the lost”
The new movie capital of the world will be in Canada. Hollyweird will not survive the compulsive 90% taxes.
