MSNBC’s Barnicle and Senator Whitehouse: the GOP is Aryans and Birthers
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Paul Cooper

In all the joy of the holiday season, sometimes journalists can miss out on stories involving Grinches and Scrooges. Shortly before Christmas Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) dropped one of the most outlandish statements of the year, if not the decade, and most in the press missed it. However, one member of the press has decided to agree with the crazy talk. Surprise, surprise…

“They [the GOP] are desperate to break this president. They have ardent supporters who are nearly hysterical at the very election of President Barack Obama. The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups, it is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist. That is one powerful reason. It is not the only one.” – Sen. Whitehouse

Since the media ignored this quote, Whitehouse was never pushed to apologize for this incredibly stupid statement. He should be held accountable for calling Republicans who stand up against Obamacare “birthers,” “fanatics,” “right-wing militia,” and Aryans. Imagine the press reaction if a Republican had made such a claim about Democrats. Those on MSNBC’s Morning Joe realized, somewhat surprisingly, what a ridiculous charge it was – with one notable exception.

Mike Barnicle: In what context was Senator Whitehorse [sic] saying that?

Mika Brzezinski: I think he’s angry at the Republicans because they have worked hard to derail health care among other things.

Barnicle: Well, then he would be correct.

He would be correct? Are you kidding me? Barnicle just moved himself from journalist to the loony Left. Besides working for MSNBC, Barnicle writes for The Huffington Post. He’s now proven himself too extreme for either one – and that is saying something.

Further proof that liberalism is just a religion. There is no rational discussion anymore, all they can do is react. It’s very sad they don’t even realize this.
