NORTH RICHLAND HILLS Authorities tell News 8 a suspicious device found in a North Texas neighborhood did contain explosives.
It was found near a copy of the Koran. Investigators dont know whether they were left by the same person.
A resident found what appeared to be a coke can on the street just before noon Thursday. What he saw inside, however, caused him to call 9-1-1.
Its some type of metal in a coke can, said Sean Hughes, Northeast Explosives Response Team. Firefighters at the scene called in the Northeast Explosives Response Team.
They zip tied the can in case it was a grenade type of device with a trigger, and they secured the can, and then they picked it up and put it in the trailer. Hughes said.

Its been a while since I did it.
It probably means 1 of of a few things:
1. The brand new koran next to the device is simply ‘coincidental’
2. The guy who found the device and where the koran was found under his truck did this.
3. Someone was specifically out to get this guy.
4. The guy who found the device was not the target but it was planned that way and anyone was a feasible target, and by doing it this way they could get away.
5. Probable connection with that Jordanian guy who wanted to blow up a downtown Dallas skyscraper (Fountain Place).
6. Has to do something with the Detroit Christmas underwear bomber.
I encourage you to go back to the thread about the "missile launcher" being found -- because when you re-read it, you'll learn ... I think starting somewhere on the second page of postings that it was NOT a missile launcher -- the type of TUBE the person had was from a type of missile laucher that is ONLY ONE-USE; use it once, and it can't be reloaded.
I guess in the army, you're supposed to flatten out the tube, but LOTS of them -the empty tubes - apparently make there way into the metals recycling market, and some people purchase them as curios or nicknacks for their collections.
It was a very interesting thread!
North Richland Hills isn’t really known for having can collectors.
I’m just saying.
Happy New Year!

An active 1400 year old DECLARATION OF WAR that hasn't been rescinded, nor ever will be.
Really? I never even seen a copy of it anywhere including a bookstore, let alone just lying in the street. I have never even seen a Bible just lying in the street.
The video states that a man saw that the bottom of the can had been cut out and there was a grenade inside. The Koran was under the mans truck

“Does anyone market the Koran printed on rolls of
TP?”
Isn’t that an oxymoron?
