My guess is that Rush has either already had, or is about to have, bypass surgery.

My suspicion is that he had chest pains due to lack of Potassium. When dieting, one loses a lot of fluid and Potassium.
I get chest pains that start in my jaw. After taking a swig of liquid potassium and rehydrate and I am good as new.

That’s what has happened to a number of people I know who had heart attacks. They have done wonderfully well for years afterwards. Praying for all to be well with Rush’s health and safety.

"My guess is that Rush has either already had, or is about to have, bypass surgery"
I thought I heard he was being released today?
Anyway, I had a triple-bypass back in 92, and it really wasn't that bad at all; three weeks after the surgery I was already out and about, even driving.
I take one blood pressure med, and one .81 aspirin per day, and at 64, I'm doing fine.
I'm sure Rush will be OK, bypass is not the big boogy-bear any more that it used to be. You're a little sore for a while in the chest area, but it's more like the pain from over-exercising than surgery. Once I left the hospital (4 days) I never took any more pain meds for the surgery.
But worryisome chest pains can also be caused by haitial hernia and esophigeal reflux, among other things.
I'm not going to speculate - Rush has ALWAYS come clean with his listeners and we'll hear soon enough without believing a bunch of rumors, and I wouldn't believe the rumors anyway until Rush confirms one way or the other.

My guess is that Rush has either already had, or is about to have, bypass surgery. Could be as simple as acid reflux. It happened to me about 5 years ago, caused by too much Ibuprofen and Mobic for pain. Some stomach stuff went down into my wind pipe. Lucky it did not make it to the lung or I would have been in the hospital for a week rather than a couple days.
They will run a couple days of tests to rule out heart issues. Rush probably needs a going over anyway and he could need a stent or two. But I don't think he had a heart attack. Reflux or angina due to stress is my quess.
