Transcript: "FRENCH JOURNALIST: Don't you think that by trying to eradicate terrorism in Chechnya you are going to eradicate the civilian population of Chechnya? VLADIMIR PUTIN: If you want to become an Islamic fundamentalist and be circumcised, come to Moscow. We are multiconfessional. We have very good specialists. I can recommend one for the operation. He'll make sure nothing grows back."
Blog comment: It is frightening to think how much Putin must dominate Obama in private negotiations. And what must Putin think about Americans reading Miranda rights to apprehended terrorists?

Putin respected President George Bush. People thought Bush was a dummy, Putin knew better.

Obama could learn something from Putin. Only if Obama's handlers were along for the instruction (Soros, Emmanuel, Axelrod, et al).

I already know that Sarah Palin would not approach Putin with the same kind of wishful thinking and illusions that Obama and, for that matter, George W. Bush did and has.
To: Niuhuru
Yeah, you pretty much have to give him that one. He’s definitely out for number one, everyone else be danged.

Bush saw a soul there. He didn’t comment on whether he thought it was headed to hell or not.

That’s how world leaders should act. The biggest mistake our leaders do is try to carry each other and it fails. I think world peace would be feasible if we had less standing alliances and less ‘universal’ treaties.

Better in an international negotiation to have people who frankly contend for their own country’s wishes than a bunch of weasels all trying to please each other.

Putin talks. That’s about it. I don’t recall a single attack on Moscow, Beslan, or anywhere else where a strong clear response was given.

That's kinda what John Bolton said about China on Beck's show last week. He says they don't pretend to be looking out for anyone but themselves.

I’d rather Putin be my president.
I know two things about Putin.
He loves his country, and he is a man with balls.
I cannot say the same about the limp-wristed, little sissy in the white hut.

One thing you can say about the Russians is that they remove the whole idea of hostages as bargaining chips in a hurry.
