Phone, cable and broadcast companies can get away with a lot in DC, but they best not stand between a man and his football games. As we noted yesterday, Time Warner Cable and News Corporation are engaged in a retransmission fee fight that could wind up with Fox programming being pulled from Time Warner Cable's channel lineup. This apparently displeases football fan and U.S. Senator John Kerry, who sent a letter to News Corp. warning them that Uncle Sam would step in if Fox programming is disrupted later on today

I am irritated that Fox moved up the Dallas game to 4:15 meaning I will miss it Washington plays at San Diego at 4:15.

Fox and Time Warner need to strike a deal - millions of football fans are depending on it, said Kerry, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committees subcommittee on communication, technology, and the Internet. "Having screens go dark because two parties couldnt come together in time is no solution. New Years Day and football are synonymous in households across the nation. Private industry negotiations cannot disrupt a fundamental American tradition right."This is what he was really saying. The democrats want to control every part of your life.

Watching football in America is a RIGHT, dang nabbit!.... march in the streets for social justice! There IS no security in America unless we are secure in our knowledge that the NFL will be on television. All you NFL deniers should be ashamed!!! Not insuring that every American has equal access to football is just plain un-American!!! You free enterprise corporate cable lovers can go STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!! /sarc (of course) ;-)

Yes. If Time Warner Cable is transmitting your local Fox affiliate to you instead of using a digital antenna on your home, then yes.

To: TexasFreeper2009
Dittos to that! TWC just raised my rate again for their crappy service anyway. Have already been pricing Direct TV and At&t.
