This is a non story. The AT4 has one shot, period. This one was empty, which means it is only as deadly as any other length of pipe when used as a club(probably not as effective actually). There are no charges because the person didn’t break the law.

The cannon for the Revolution were originally privately owned. Same for our first warships (privateers).
Happy New Year, ALL!

Well, unless you’re white, Christian, male, conservative, or think you should have some say in the amount of taxes you pay. Then you’re a terrorist.
She can discharge my weapon anytime.

Nothing to see here, the system worked.
They must have just found the LAUNCHER....harmless by itself....not a missile with live warhead. Otherwise he WOULD have been charged with unlicensed explosives possession.
That is one HAWT soldier-babe! Mmmmm!
SOS! Find an empty LAW tube and it will make the news. You can find stuff like this at the local flea market. Want to make the front page news? Go to your nearest major airport, stand by the fence at the end of the runway with a fishing rod carrying tube on your shoulder and see what happens.
For sure. The line in the story is dumb, that doesn’t necessarily mean the person they are supposedly quoting is.
Bottom line, WRT "charges", based on what has been observed. One can only hope further investigating/informing is being done based on the questions naturally raised under the circumstances.
Sadly, I won't be taking any bets on whether or not that is being done.
You can buy a rocket launcher on-line for about $150.

Then show one to a liberal bed-wetter and he'll cr@p his pants.

You are right, Humble. It seems there are alot of people that don’t understand that once fired, a single shot rocket launcher tube is useless and NOT illegal. Looks scary maybe, but not illegal.
They sell the empty tubes at surplus stores and gun shows for next to nothing. The reason it’s made of plastic is because the parts inside the tube that let you launch the missile out of it are destroyed on launch.
You can’t reload an AT-4 tube after it’s been expended. They’re deliberately designed that way.
For starters, the missile won’t even fit back in the tube.
