Grammy, when I listened to BO today I was waiting for “the here it comes’. He was ‘supposed’ to have some stunning announcement or revelation. I thought it was martial law. no joke
NO mention of the State Department, but several mentions that the bloomer bomber had a US Visa. Now the Visa could have, and should have, been revoked immediately after the father went to the EMBASSY and told them what was going on. They SHOULD have KNOWN that Britain had refused him a Visa.
I am laying the entire blame on the State Department, not on the intel services, because the STATE Department issued him a visa after Britain rejected him KNOWING he was radicalized.
To blame this on ALL of the intelligence agencies that each had snippets of information and none had all, when the State Department had it ALL, is assinine.
And the gratuitous slap at the Bush Administration was just ridiculous.
I expect him to declare martial law as well.... but I believe it will not be until we have a *new* crisis. Something that involves lots of dead people. I don’t think money or health care or tax and trade will give him the cover he needs to pull it off.
