How did I miss that post on the Pentagon?! Can you repost please?!
It’s about 4 posts above the girl with her boobs hanging out.
Hopey and changey and all that stuff. Perhaps they can get him a reduced price flight (eyes rolling) back to Yemen along with the Gitmo terorirsts already in line for repatriation.....? He'll be able to save up for his next trip here and use one of those prepaid credit cards to detract suspicion about him (sarcasm).
I saw my first real anti-Obama bumper sticker in town today. It was highly visible on an expensive SUV. There is palpable frustration growing with the decisions of this administration. This new year is going to be VERY interesting (especially if they continue in this manner).

Thanks for finding it Pennie. CoCo, I see why its nagging you, there are many disturbing things about your find.

Bump to post #297
What's the Swedish word for debacle?
We wouldn't even have to pose that question if Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had thought to order passengers to wear their underwear on the outside before this happened. Perhaps that will be the next frontier in airport security.
Thanks for the ping!

Private (unclassified) back channel heads up. Received something is apparently going to bust open in Iran in the next few days. NO details. Keep your eyes and ears peeled and share what you find with me please. I am also herding other goats.
I think I may know but could not share even if I were right. Specially as there is many a slip between the cup and the lip. And I think it is still an intention not a ready action.
cheers
John McFarlane, security chief at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, declined to specify the content of the disc but said he was told it 'was Islamic" and it made the flight crew 'uncomfortable.'
Pentagon - be bold, brave, blunt
In the wake of the Detroit plot, debate has renewed among civilian authorities about how to screen for terrorists without appearing to discriminate against Muslims.
The U.S. military, though, has been grappling with this for a while. It would seem a delicate matter at first blush: How does the Pentagon determine if there are other murderous traitors in its ranks without appearing anti-Muslim? The answer is twofold.
First, it's not as delicate as it might appear. You review all military branches for any signs of extremism or anti-American leanings of any kind, without regard to race, creed or any other characteristic of the subject. Period.
While the Pentagon cannot worry about being delicate at this point, it can be professional. The probe need not be a witch hunt for Muslims. Again, it need only seek out evidence of any kind of extremism or anti-Americanism in the ranks.
Still, this is no time to be delicate. You don't necessarily look for Islamic radicalism. But you don't look away from it, either.
Thank you for this briefing :) Seriously though I hope the rebellion goes the correct way, will be paying attention thanks to you but then again I been a news addict for about 2 decades so...

The plane departed St. Louis airport, destined for O'Hare
Last Saturday, January 2, two flights of Delta Airlines returned to Boston, Massachusetts after being on air for only a few minutes. Both pilots reported that they have smelled smoke in their respective cockpits. All the passengers were rebooked on different flights. The planes destinations were New York and Columbus, Ohio. The incidents are still being investigated.
Last Friday, January 1, another Northwest flight from Detroit, Michigan to Orlando, Florida was diverted to Nashville, Tennessee after a suspicious package was found aboard. The pilot diverted out of an abundance of caution. All the passengers have got off the plane before the package was discovered to be just a Christmas ornament. The passengers re-boarded and arrived at Orlando three hours delayed.
Starting Monday, all passengers on U.S.-bound international flights are subject to random screening.
The Department of State lists Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria as state sponsors of terrorism.
The other countries whose passengers will face enhanced screening include Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen.

Here's hoping for a less politically correct 2010, in which the force of reality leads more people to understand what we are up against, and to respond accordingly
