LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles County prosecutors have decided no charges will be filed against a suburban police officer who kicked a surrendering suspect in the head after a dangerous car chase.
Rodriguez, a parolee heavily covered in gang tattoos, was lying face-down on the ground during the May 13 incident, which was broadcast by a TV news helicopter. After four officers converged on Rodriguez, two of them did a "high five."

The arguments almost all fall into the category of “he deserved it.” Well, that’s what the courts and penal system are for.

An odd observation: I was looking for new underpants in Wal Mart the other day. I couldn’t find any in my preferred brand, but eventually located the same size in another brand. They were camo patterned. Figuring that it doesn’t matter what doesn’t show, I got them. Only after I opened the package at home did I notice that three out of the four briefs were not just camo colored, but emblazoned with Jolly Rogers, that were not mentioned on the package. High speed chases are always very dangerous to the public. Just for that this guy should have been given a serious beating. I know it can’t be done these days due to the ACLU etc....But it used to be done and the criminals got part of their punishment on the street

Gratuitous beating administered by cops is unmanly, unconstitutional and un-American. Resorting to a technicality such as the DA refusing to press charges is your own admission that you have no argument. It doesn't have anything to do what was clearly done by the cops and it is the best evidence anyone needs that you or someone you care about has a much better chance of getting his teeth pushed down his throat by some cop is regards himself as the law.
